Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET), 2017 was held on May 18 across 16 regional test centres of Telangana. Kakatiya University, exam conducting authority of TS ICET 2017 has conducted the test in a pen and paper mode for admission to the MBA programmes of the University and the affiliated Institutes.
The questions in the exam were objective type i.e. multiple choice questions. The question booklet of TS ICET was divided into three section, i.e. analytical ability, mathematical ability and communication ability. There were total 200 questions in the exam for 1 mark each. Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer and there is no provision of negative marking.
According to many student, the overall difficulty level of the exam was between moderate to difficult. The structure of TS ICET question booklet was similar to that of last year. TS ICET 2017 exam was held for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes i.e. from 10 am to 12:30 pm.
The section on analytical ability consisted of questions from Data Sufficiency, Data Analysis, and Reasoning. The overall difficulty level for this section was easy to moderate. The Mathematical ability section was relatively tough and time- consuming. There were less of direct questions in maths and most of them required conceptual knowledge. Questions from Vocabulary, Grammar, and Reading Comprehensions were included in communication ability section and the candidates found this section to be easy to moderate.
The answer keys of TS ICET exam is scheduled to be released on May 21 in pdf format. The TS ICET result will be declared on May 30, 2017, and it will consist of details such as candidate’s ranks, sectional and overall score. The university will prepare a separate merit list on the basis of marks secured by the candidate and their merit rank.
