Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE) 2017 is being conducted in online mode on April 20, at 114 exam centres across India. The examination authority, Amrita University, is conducting the exam for admission to around 1200 undergraduate engineering seats offered by each of the three campuses located at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore.
AEEE exam is conducted in two modes – computer based test (CBT) and pen and paper (P&P). The online exam is being held from April 20 to 23, 2017, in 03 different slots whereas, the offline test to be conducted on April 29, 2017. Candidates can download AEEE admit card for offline mode, which has been made available by the university.
AEEE question booklet consists of 100 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates must choose a correct answer from 04 options given. For each correct answer, 03 marks will be awarded and for an incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted. The questions with two or more selected answers to be considered as incorrect. AEEE 2017 question paper contains a total of 300 questions, with 150 minutes allotted to solve it.
The online exam is being held in 96 AEEE exam centres across India. P&P exam will be held only in Karnataka, Kerela and Tamil Nadu. Amrita University has allotted exam centres to the candidates as per the choices and preferences made by them. Candidates must go through the instructions mentioned in admit card before reporting to allotted centre.
The result of AEEE 2017 will be declared online on May 05, along with rank list. Through AEEE result, candidates can check scores and rank secured by them in the entrance examination. On the basis of AEEE 2017 result and rank list, admission committee will announce cutoff of AEEE 2017 in the form of opening and closing rank.
On the basis of opening and closing rank, candidates will be called for AEEE counselling session. Candidates securing marks below closing rank can participate in counselling and admission process. Candidates must report to the allotted college as per their rank for document verification and seat allotment. Admission will be granted on the basis of rank, preferences of courses and campuses, availability of seats and other factors.
