Q. I have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology in Class XII. Am I eligible to apply for BITSAT 2017?
A. Yes, candidates who have studied Biology in class XII are eligible to appear for the online admission test. However, such students will only be eligible to apply for B.Pharm program.
Q. My Class XII results are not expected before June 30. Can I apply for BITSAT 2017?
A. For admission through BITSAT 2017, candidates must have their class XII result before June 30, 2017. So, candidates must keep that in mind while applying for BITSAT 2017.
Q. I had appeared in BITSAT 2016 but my marks were below the cut-off marks. Can I appear in BITSAT 2017?
A. To appear in BITSAT 2017, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria defined by BITS Pilani. To check the eligibility norms, Click Here.
Q. I passed Class XII exam in 2016. Am I eligible to appear for BITSAT 2017?
A. Yes, candidates who have qualified in the year 2016 are eligible to appear for BITSAT 2017.
Q. I passed 12th in 2016 but I didn’t score the aggregate marks required to be eligible for the test. Can I appear in BITSAT 2017 if I repeat some fo the subjects to get the required 75% marks?
A. Candidates who are retaking class XII exam have to re appear in all the subjects as required by their respective Boards to pass class 12 again. Candidates giving improvement only in PCM/PCB are not eligible for the examination.
Q. I have passed class XII in the year 2015 and now I am doing my higher studies (B.Sc./B.E./Diploma) in another college. Can I apply for BITSAT 2017?
A. Candidates who have qualified their H.S in the year 2015 or earlier are not eligible to appear in BITSAT 2017.
Q. Apart from BITSAT 2017 score, is there any other selection procedure?
A. Toppers in the qualifying examination of any state or central Board in the year 2017 will be given direct admission to the programme desired by the candidate.
Q. I am not being able to access the online application form. Is the form available via post or email?
A. The application form cannot be sent by post or email. In case, candidates are unable to register or fill up the form online, send an email to email@example.com stating about your problem.
Q. I have successfully submitted the application form but I forgot to take a print out. How can I get the print out now?
A. Applicants have to go to the login page, enter their personal details and application number to login. The application form will be displayed on the screen and they will be able to take the print out.
Q. I have made a mistake in the application form. How can I edit/correct it?
A. The correction window to edit the application form will open from March 07-10, 2017. Candidates can edit/correct the required fields during this period.
Q. What is the procedure to fill the application form for the NRIs?
A. There is no separate application procedure for NRI candidates. However, candidates who have citizenship other than India can apply under International students admission scheme.
Q. What is the application procedure for candidates who have qualified from abroad?
A. Such candidates have to undergo the same application procedure as the Indian students. However, they have to provide an equivalence certificate from AIU at the time of applying for admission later.
Q. Are the application forms to apply for BITS Goa, Pilani and Hyderabad different?
A. No, admission to all the campus will be through the BITS Admission Test, 2017. Hence, aspirants have to fill up the same application form.
Q. Can I change the slot once booked for BITSAT 2017?
A. No, once the slot is booked, it cannot be changed. Therefore, candidates must be very careful while booking their slots.
Queries regarding BITSAT 2017 Admit Card
Q. Will the admit card be sent to the candidates via post or email?
A. The Admit Card of BITSAT 2017 will only be available in the online mode. Candidates have to download it once it is made available. The admit card will mot be issued through any other mode.
Q. I have not participated in the Slot Booking process. Will I be able to download my admit card?
A. Candidates who have not participated in the slot booking will be assigned slots depending on the vacancies. Hence, such candidates will be issued admit cards and the slot assigned to the student will be displayed on the admit card.
Queries regarding BITSAT 2017 Exam Pattern
Q. What are the language medium for BITSAT 2017?
A. The online aptitude test will only be conducted in English medium.
Q. Will BITSAT 2017 be conducted in the offline mode?
A. No, BITS Pilani will conduct the admission test only in the online mode, i.e. it will be a computer-based examination.
Q. Is there any negative marking for incorrect answer?
A. Yes, for every incorrect response, 1 mark will be deducted.
Q. Does all candidate needs to attempt the 12 extra questions set in the examination?
A. Only those candidates who have attempted all the questions will be given an option to attempt 12 extra questions.
Q. Is it mandatory for candidates who have attempted all the questions to take the set of 12 extra questions in the admission test?
A. No, it is not compulsory. However, if candidates want to attempt the extra questions they must be very careful as there is negative marking for every incorrect response.
Q. Does any other University admit students on the basis of BITSAT 2017 score?
A. Apart from the three campuses of BITS, Pilani at Pilani campus, Goa campus and Hyderabad campus, the scores of BITSAT 2017 will also be accepted by NIIT University for admission into their programs.
