CEED 2017 Exam Analysis – The Common Entrance Examination for Design has been held today, on January 22, 2017. The exam started at 10:00 am and was concluded at 01:00 pm. The exam centres of CEED were established in 19 cities. It was conducted by IIT Bombay and the scores of it will be used to grant admission in M.Des courses. The institutes which will be granting admission on the basis of CEED 2017 score are IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati and IIT Kanpur. The Exam Analysis of CEED 2017 will be uploaded soon. However, until then the candidates may check the generic analysis by the students.
Parts: CEED 2017 was held in two parts. Candidates had 1 hour to solve Part A, while, to solve Part B the conducting body provided 2 hours to the candidates.
Mode of Exam: The entrance examination was held in online, as well as, offline mode. Part A was a Computer Based Test but the candidates attempted the questions in Part B, in Pen and Paper mode.
Questions: In Part A, the questions were asked from visual and spatial ability, environmental and social awareness, language, analytical and logical design, observation and design sensitivity. The questions asked were of both Numerical Answer and Multiple choice type.
On the other hand, the questions in Part B were related to drawing, writing, sketching, and designing.

Clearing CEED 2017
Those candidates will qualify CEED who will perform well in Part B. It should be noted that the Part A of the exam will only be treated as the qualifying examination. Hence, Part B of only those candidates will be checked who will surpass the CEED 2017 Cutoff for Part A. Part B is more of a subjective paper. There is no cutoff for it but the performance of the candidates will be evaluated on the basis of various factors
