CEED 2018 - The Common Entrance Examination for Design or CEED 2018 was administered by IIT Bombay for admission into Master of Design (MDes) programmes and PhD programmes in design. The final answer key of CEED 2018 has released online on February 2. The draft answer key of CEED 2018 has been made available along with the question paper. CEED 2018 result will be declared on March 5, 2018. Candidates were able to challenge CEED 2018 answer key till January 31. CEED 2018 was held on from 10 am to 1 pm on January 20, 2018 across 20 Indian cities including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi and Guwahati to name a few. The test covered two parts, part A covering design aptitude type questions and part B comprising questions to test design, drawing and writing skills of candidates. As per CEED 2018 eligibility criteria, aspirants needed to have passed a degree/ diploma/ post graduation programme. Through CEED 2018, candidates will be granted admission to Master of Design (MDes) programmes at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur, and IIT Kanpur and PhD in Design. CEED answer key 2018 is only available for part A of the question paper. Candidates can use CEED answer key to cross-check their responses and calculate their probable score. The provisional answer key of CEED was published online by IIT Bombay. The draft answer key was open to challenge and candidates were able to raise their objection online by January 31, 2018. After scrutinising the comments received by students, the final CEED answer key 2018 has been uploaded on February 2.
The result of CEED 2018 will be declared on March 5, 2018. CEED result will be published by IIT Bombay only in the online mode. Candidates can download CEED 2018 scorecard by entering their registered email ID and password. The result of CEED 2018 will comprise the scores obtained by candidates in the entrance exam. However, only those candidates securing the minimum qualifying marks in part A of CEED question paper will be able to check their score in Part B. The answer booklets of part B of only those candidates will be evaluated who will qualify in part A of the examination. Based on scores obtained in part B of the examination, CEED merit list will be prepared. Candidates must ensure to take a print out of CEED scorecard as they might require to produce it at time of counselling and seat allotment process. CEED scorecard 2018 will valid for a period of one year from the date of result declaration.
The cutoff of CEED 2018 is the minimum marks that candidates have to obtain to qualify the entrance test. Part A of CEED question paper will be used as a screening test. While only the score obtained by candidates only in part B will be used for preparing CEED merit list 2018. The minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to obtain in part A of CEED question paper is given below in the table:

The counselling of CEED 2018 will be carried out by the participating institutes separately. IIT Bombay, the examination authority will not hold any common CEED counselling. The announcement for admission in MDes and PhD programmes in design will be notified separately by the institutes. Candidates eligible for admission have to apply separately at the desired institutes. The participating institutes of CEED 2018 might also conduct a written test/ interview before the counselling and admission process. Candidates offered admission have to pay the admission fees, submit necessary documents and confirm their admissions by completing all the required formalities.
Through CEED 2018, IITs and IISc Bangalore will provide admission to eligible candidates in MDes and PhD programmes. Candidates can check the list of CEED participating institutes along with the name of programmes offered by them from the table given below:

The admit card of CEED 2018 was made available online for all successfully registered candidates from January 1 to 20. CEED admit card could be downloaded by using the registered email ID and password. Important details such as application number, roll number, exam date and time, address of the exam centre etc. were mentioned on CEED admit card 2018. Candidates were required to carry CEED 2018 hall ticket along with a valid photo identity proof to the examination centre.
IIT Bombay had conducted CEED 2018 in 20 cities across the country. Candidates had to choose three exam cities as per their choice while applying for CEED 2018. A particular city may have had more than one CEED exam centres. The name and complete address of CEED exam centre 2018 was mentioned on the admit card. Change in the exam cities preference was not entertained by the examination conducting authority after final submission of application form.
CEED 2018 examination consisted of two parts- A and B. Questions of both the parts appeared on the computer. Candidates had to enter their answers to Part A on the computer. For marking answers to questions in part B candidates were provided with an answer book by the invigilator. As per CEED exam pattern, part A consisted of 3 sections with total 45 questions. The total marks in Part A of CEED question paper was 100. Part B comprised 8 questions and carrying a total 100 marks. The marking scheme for both the parts differ from each other. The total duration of CEED 2018 was 3 hours. The duration of Part A was one hour and for Part B is two hours. Appearing candidates could attempt part B only after answering part A.

As CEED is an aptitude test there were no specific textbook or guide recommended for its preparation. To get acquainted with the type of questions to be asked the exam, candidates were advised to practice CEED sample papers. Previous years' CEED question papers are helpful for aspirants to have a better understanding of the test structure, leading to a more effective preparation.

Age requirement- There is no age limit to appear for CEED.
