National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) 2017 has been conducted by Council of Architecture (CoA) on April 16, at around 70 exam centres across India and abroad. The examination authority has conducted NATA 2017 exam for admission to five-year architecture courses in around 450 institutes in the country.
According to the candidates who have appeared in NATA 2017, the overall paper was moderate in terms of difficulty. Most of the questions asked in the exam were of similar difficulty level as compared to previous year. NATA 2017 was conducted in the morning session for three-hour duration beginning from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
NATA 2017 question booklet had multiple choice questions from Part A and B. Part A is Mathematics and General Aptitude and Part B contains Drawing Aptitude. The candidates were given 90 minutes for Part A and the remaining time was given to the drawing test. As per the marking scheme, every correct answer in Part A to be awarded 2 marks whereas, each right response in Part B will be allotted 20 marks. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
Council of Architecture will publish NATA 2017 answer key after completion of the entrance test. By using the answer key, candidates will be able to calculate their estimated scores and analyse their performance in NATA 2017. The candidates can, however, challenge the answer keys by paying an amount of Rs 1000 per question if they are unsatisfied with the answer keys.
The Result of NATA 2017 to be declared on or before June 10, after final answer keys are released. The result will display marks obtained by candidates, merit position and percentile score. The examination authority will declare NATA 2017 result for only those candidates who will secure minimum qualifying marks in the entrance test. In MCQs, candidates have to score 25% (30 marks out of 120) while in the drawing section candidates have to secure 25% (20 marks out of 80).
All the eligible candidates will be shortlisted for counselling in order of their merit in NATA 2017 and allotment of seats will be done as per their rank in merit list and preference for courses and colleges.
