COMEDK 2014 Counselling will start tomorrow i.e. on 13th June 2014. Through the counselling, the consortium will admit candidates in the undergraduate first year programs on the basis of marks and rank secured by the candidates in the entrance test. It is a single window centralized counselling for selecting and admitting candidates for Medical, Dental and Engineering courses in the private colleges of Karnataka.

COMEDK 2014 Counselling Rounds

Counselling will be conducted in two rounds. The details are given as

Round 1 – 13th June to 29th June 2014

Round 2 – 8th July to 18th July 2014

General Instructions - COMEDK 2014 Counselling

  • Candidates enlisted in the COMEDK 2014 Merit/Rank list are eligible to attend the COMEDK 2014 Counselling. In the counselling, candidates will be required to submit the options of colleges and courses as per their order of preference to secure admissions in the colleges of Karnataka

  • It is mandatory for all candidates to come in person for the counselling at the venue. Only one parent or guardian is allowed to accompany the candidate at the counselling hall

  • Each candidate has to bring all the required documents and certificates in original failing which candidates will not be allowed to enter the counseling hall

List of requisite documents for COMEDK 2014 Counselling

  • COMEDK UGET 2014 - Rank Card (Printed online copy)

  • Class X/ SSLC mark sheet or School leaving certificate or any record indicating birth-date.

  • Class XII/ 2nd PUC or equivalent qualifying examination Marks sheet

  • Demand Draft of Rs. 50,000 /- drawn from a nationalized bank in favor of 'COMEDK' and with the Test Admission Ticket Number (TAT No) mentioned at the reverse side. The Demand Draft to be payable at Bangalore.

List of requisite documents to be produced by SC/ST/OBC Candidates

SC/ST/OBC category candidates are eligible for admission under reservation quota provided they provide the following documents:

  • SC/ST: Certificate must have been issued by competent authority authorized to issue such a certificate ( not below the rank of a Tahsildar) valid for the year of admission 2014

  • OBC : OBC candidates have to produce the Caste and income certificate issued by Tahsildar or higher revenue jurisdictional authority authorized to issue such certificate valid only for the year of admission year 2014

  • Minority candidates : Religious (Christian), Linguistics (Telugu / Tulu/ Konkani) certificate issued by the school authorities where the candidate has studied is mandatory

Seat Selection Process COMEDK 2014 Counselling

  • After verification of all the required original documents with one set of attested photocopies, candidates have to submit the Demand Draft for Rs. 50,000/- drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of COMEDK which is payable at Bangalore. Further to this, the balance tuition fee as applicable and all the original documents are required to be submitted at the time of reporting at the allotted college

  • Subsequent to the seat allotment and acceptance by the candidate, the candidate will be issued an allotment letter. For that, the Candidate will go to the Bank counter and deposit the Demand Draft for Rs. 50,000/- and obtain fee receipt and the allotment letter which has security features so that it cannot be duplicated.

  • Candidates must keep in mind that duplicate Allotment letter will not be issued to any candidate for any reason. So, you are cautioned to be careful with the allotment letter as you will lose the seat as well if you lose the allotment letter

Important Note- COMEDK 2014 Counselling

  • A Demand draft of Rs. 50,000 must be drawn only from any of the nationalized banks. DD must necessarily mention TAT number at the reverse

  • Domicile certificate as proof of resident of Karnataka state (either of the candidate of his/her parents) issued by relevant competent authority must be presented the candidate.

  • If a candidate is producing a domicile certificate, a proof of his mother or father having studied in the state of Karnataka for seven continuous years, must be submitted as well.
