Only those candidates who belong to foreign nationals/persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/ Non-Resident Indians/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) under the DASA scheme can fill and submit the online DASA application form 2018 along with required fee and supporting documents before the last date. Candidates have to send their SAT scores through college board with institute code to complete DASA 2018 application process. As per last year’s DASA application fees, general candidates and SAARC candidates have to pay separately. Documents required for DASA application form 2018

  • Passport: Applicant’s Passport (Nationals of Nepal who does not have a passport, copy of authenticated Citizenship Card has to be submitted.

  • Qualifying exam certificate: Proof for date of birth (Secondary Education Board / University Certificate [Class X or equivalent] or any certificate issued by the Government authorities).

  • Marksheet: Class 10th, 11thand 12th (or) Equivalent examination(s). Certificate from School authorities (in the format prescribed) as proof of completion of 11th and 12th Standard or equivalent.

  • PIO/OCI/NRI: Proof of last 5 years of education in the foreign country in case of PIO/OCI/NRI (School leaving certificate/Mark sheets/Study Certificate).

  • Bank details: Details and proof of fee payment in case of payment by SWIFT transfer.

 

How to fill DASA Application Form 2018?

The application process of DASA 2018 will include six stages. Below is the step by step procedure to fill DASA application form:

Step 1: Registration: In order to apply, candidates must register themselves first by creating an account. To create an account, follow the procedure given below:

Email ID - The email ID must be valid, as the link to apply for DASA 2018 will be mailed to the registered mail ID. Candidates must click on 'Create my account'.

Applicant's ID: Enter Application ID sent to registered email ID. Candidates must check their mail and click on the link for further registration.

Password: Candidates must create a new password (preferably a combination of uppercase, lowercase, number and symbol to be chosen by the applicant) and confirm the password.

Candidates must click on register button. The registration process is completed.

Step 2: Filling up DASA Application Form 2018

Applicants have to login using the email address and password to fill DASA application form 2018.

Personal information- Basic personal information such as name of the candidate, father's name, mother's name, gender and more information about the applicant's personal life will have to filled by candidates.

Academic qualifications- The details regarding their qualifying examination like class X and XII marks, board details and SAT subject test details will be asked.

Contact information- Registered email ID, mobile number, address, permanent address and more information will be filled by the candidates.

Along with this information, candidates will have to select any number of preferences for the courses and institutes in which they want to avail admission. Applicants can enter any number of choices in the order of preference which can be of any combination of institutes/courses in the order of priority from the list of courses available.

Step 3: Uploading of images and documents - Applicants have to upload scanned images of their recent passport-sized photograph and signature. Specifications for passport-sized photograph and signature are as given below

Preview of DASA application form 2018: Applicants are advised to click preview application form button to preview the form and ensure that all the required details have been provided correctly. In case, there are some corrections to be made, applicants can click the edit the application form button.

Submission of DASA application form 2018:After ensuring that all the data provided are correct and in the required format, applicants have to click submit button to submit the online DASA 2018 application form. Candidates must click on ‘Download application form’ button to keep a copy of the submitted online application form. Candidates can also take a printout of the application form for further admission process.

Payment of DASA application fee: Candidates have to pay registration fee along with the first-semester tuition fee. The fee can be paid either by SWIFT Transfer or e-payment.

About DASA 2018: Admissions to various undergraduate programmes for candidates belonging to foreign nationals/PIOs/NRIs/OCI is offered through DASA. Candidates must have successfully qualified in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology) with 60% or 6.50 CGPA to be eligible for DASA 2018 admission. Around 45 NITs, IIITs, SPAs and other Centrally Funded & Premier Technical Institutes will offer seats to SAT qualified candidates.
