Delhi Technical University (DTU) 2015 Admission will offer admissions into its UG B.Tech courses for the session 2015-16. The admission will be conducted by Joint Admission Committee (JAC) 2015. The admission will be based on the candidates Class XII score and the JEE Main 2015 Rank. The counselling for DTU 2015 has already started from 2 July 2015. To fill up the seats, there are four rounds of counselling and if required a Spot round is held. For more information on DTU, read the article below.

DTU 2015 Selection Process

The selection procedure will be based on the JEE Main 2015 ranking and Class XII score. the higher the marks and ranking, more is the possibility of admission in the desired courses. The candidates are required to fill in their choices for the courses, and based on the priority of the candidate, the seats will be allotted. Candidates with higher marks and ranks will be given more preference.

DTU 2015 Eligibility Criteria

Based on the JEE Main 2015 Rank and Class XII aggregate, the admissions will be conducted. The eligibility criteria for DTU 2015 Admissions are:

i. The candidates from Delhi or have passed Class XII exam from National Capital Territory of (NCT) Delhi are entitled to 85% reservation in DTU. The rest 15% is reserved for the candidates belonging from outside Delhi.
ii. A minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is required.
iii. The candidate must pass in English in the Class XII board exams or in the equivalent qualifying exam.
iv. The upper limit for age is 25 years and the lower limit is 17 years. Although there is relaxation in the age for the reserved categories.

DTU 2015 Online Registration for Counselling

  • The registration has already commenced from 2 July and the last date for registration is 10 July 2015 i.e. Tomorrow. Candidates can follow the steps for registration:
    a) Submission of Registration-cum-Counselling Fee and Online Application Forms
    b) Counselling Fee Deposit
    c) Online Registration, Choice Filling, Seat Allotment and Result Declaration

DTU 2015 Online Counselling Procedure

The candidates who have applied for JEE Main 2015 and have been declared eligible for Central Counselling by the CBSE can apply for the counselling as per the schedule. The counselling procedure for DTU:

i. Online filling up of choices
ii. Choices locking and printing it.
iii. Seat allotment.
iv. Payment of fee
v. Allotment of seats for Round 1
vi. Counselling for Round 2
vii. Counselling for Round 3
viii. Counselling for Round 4
ix. Internal Sliding
x. Spot Round (if seats are available)
xi. Reporting to the university (physically) and verifying the required documents
xii. Withdrawal of allotted seats and refund of the fee (If required)

The candidates must register and pay the registration-cum-counselling fee in order to fill in their choices. Once the candidate is registered they can see the required fee structure and branches. The candidates can fill in as many choices as they wish. After filling up the choices, the candidates can take a printout of the filled choices.

The allotment of seats will be based on the merit of the candidate and the choices filled. The allotment of the results will be available on 14 July 2015, and will be available on the website. To check the allotment result, candidates can click on the link below.

Once the seat is allotted, the allotted candidates must physically report at the institute as per the counselling schedule for verification of documents and submitting the balanced fee.

If the candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat, then he/she can withdraw and take the refund of the fee. To withdraw, a proper withdrawal receipt is available. The candidates must submit the original Admission Slip issued at the time of counselling. For withdrawal, the candidates must withdraw within 15 days of all admissions.

Verification of Documents

For the verification process, the candidates must bring all the required documents (original and photocopies). If the candidates fail to do so, then his/her candidature will be cancelled. The documents required for verification are:

i. Original Fee Payment Receipt
ii. Registration form attested by Principal of the school/institution last attended/Gazetted Officer
iii. A candidate signed printed copy of the choices filled.
iv. Three passport size photographs.
v. A copy of self-attested Admit Card and Score Card of JEE Main 2015.
vi. Original and self-attested copy of the mark sheet of the qualifying exam
vii. A copy of the allotted letter
viii. Birth-certificate (original and self-attested)
ix. Certificates of Reserved Category (if required)
x. Medical fitness certificate for all categories.
xi. A certificate from Vocational Rehabilitation for Physically Handicapped Karkardooma, Vikas Marg, Delhi-110092
