GUJCET 2018: Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has made available the admit card of Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2018 on April 17. The link to download the admit card of GUJCET 2018 is given below in this article. The entrance test is scheduled to be held on April 23 in the offline mode. The online registration for GUJCET 2018 has started from March 16, 2018. Before applying, aspirants should have fulfilled the GUJCET 2018 eligibility criteria which require them to have cleared Class 12 or equivalent examination with 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST candidates). As per the exam pattern of GUJCET 2018, there are 120 multiple choice questions (MCQs) in the exam from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The duration of GUJCET 2018 is 3 hours and there is negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer. The admit card for GUJCET 2018 is available online. Candidates who have registered for the entrance test can download the GUJCET admit card 2018 by entering their application number. Applicants will also receive the GUJCET 2018 admit card through post. The admit card of GUJCET includes candidate’s name, photograph, signature, subjects of GUJCET, the medium of paper, the subject chosen, examination centre and other details related to GUJCET 2018. In case of any discrepancy in the GUJCET admit card 2018 candidates must report it to the concerned authority for rectification.
GSEB has defined certain eligibility criteria for GUJCET 2018 that every candidate must fulfill. Candidates can check GUJCET eligibility criteria 2018 below.
Age limit – The minimum age to apply for GUJCET 2018 is 17 years.
Domicile – Candidate should belong to Gujarat. Bonafide residents of Gujarat who are residing in other states of the country are also eligible to apply for GUJCET 2018
Academic qualification - Candidates who have qualified/ appeared in 10+2 level examination or equivalent examination from Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar/CBSE, Delhi/CISCE, New Delhi/NIOS/International School Board.
Minimum qualifying score - Candidates must have secured at least 45% (40% for SC/ ST candidates) in their 10+2 exam.
GUJCET 2018 reservation of seats would be based on the guidelines issued by the Government of India. Candidates belonging to reserved categories need to submit category-specific documents at the time of document verification. The table below provides a list of category wise reservation.

The application form of GUJCET 2018 has been made available online from March 16. To fill GUJCET application form 2018, candidates have to follow the below-mentioned steps in order:
Step 1) Obtaining user ID and password: Candidates will have to first pay the application fees of Rs 300 through demand draft to obtain their user id and password.
Step 2) GUJCET 2018 registration: Candidates will have to register themselves by using the given user id and password.
Step 3) Filling up of GUJCET application form 2018: Enter personal details, contact details, educational details, community reservation details (if any)
Step 4) Uploading of images: Scanned photograph and signature
Step 5) Submission of GUJCET 2018 application form: Review and submit the application

GSEB will declare the syllabus of GUJCET 2018 along with the information brochure. GUJCET syllabus 2018 covers chapters from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Majority of the syllabus will be similar to the qualifying examination of class 12. In Physics, there are questions from Motion in one dimension, Gravitation, Heat and Thermodynamics etc. Questions are asked from Atomic structure, Polymers, Solid State etc. in Chemistry. Questions in Mathematics section are asked from Complex Numbers, Sets, Relations and Fucntions, Calculus etc. Candidates must cover each section of the syllabus prescribed to them in order to score well in the examination.
The sample papers of GUJCET 2018 will help candidates to prepare for the entrance examination. The sample papers of GUJCET are available online for aspirants to practice for the entrance examination. Various coaching institutes provide GUJCET sample papers, candidates can download and solve them. By solving GUJCET 2018 sample papers, candidates can get a general idea about the pattern of the question paper along with the distribution of syllabus. By regularly practising sample papers of GUJCET, candidates will be able to overcome their weaknesses, improve time management skills and accuracy level.

The provisional answer key of GUJCET 2018 will be released tentatively in the first week of April. By using the answer key, candidates will be able to calculate the probable scores that they have secured before the announcement of GUJCET result 2018. Candidates can compare their recorded responses with the correct answers as per GUJCET answer key 2018. Students can also challenge the released answer key of GUJCET 2018. The examination authority will publish the final answer key after checking all the challenges.
GUJCET Result 2018 will be declared online by GSEB in the third week of May. Candidates will be able to check the result of GUJCET 2018 by using their application number or their name. GUJCET result 2018 will comprise details such as name and roll number of candidate along with subject wise obtained marks, total marks and ranking. Students must take a print out of the result cum score card and keep it safe for future references.
GSEB will publish the GUJCET merit list online for candidates qualified in the entrance test. GUJCET merit list 2018 will comprise names of candidates who are eligible for the counselling and seat allotment process. While preparing GUJCET merit list 2018, 60% weightage will be given to candidate’s score in Class 12 examination and 40% weightage will be given to candidate’s score in GUJCET 2018. The candidates will be ranked as per their merit and will be called for the counselling session. GUJCET seat allotment 2018 will be done as per the ranking of the candidates in GUJCET 2018 merit list.
The admission authority Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) is responsible for the counselling process of GUJCET 2018. Candidates who have cleared the entrance test will have to register themselves for counselling rounds by paying the registration fee of Rs. 350 at any designated branch of Kotak Mahindra Bank. To register for GUJCET counselling 2018, candidates will have to fill the application form by entering personal, examination and course details. Students are required to submit the duly filled application form with documents required at the nearest help centre. After submitting the application form, candidates have to fill in their choices of college and course. All the seats will be subject to availability based on the marks and category they belong to.
ACPC conducts two rounds of GUJCET 2018 seat allotment. GUJCET seat allotment 2018 will be done based on the candidate’s rank in the merit list, his/her preferred choices and availability of seats. A mock round of seat allotment will also be conducted after which applicants will be able to make modifications in their choices. Candidates not getting any seat in the first round are eligible for the second round of seat allotment along with those candidates who have paid the tuition fees and opted for upgradation. Candidates have to pay tuition fees and have to report to the allotted institute to confirm their admission.
