It just 6 months left for one of the most competitive entrance exams in the nation. JEE Main gets a high turnout of the exam takers every year as it is accepted by the majority of the engineering colleges in the nation. Though the number of fresh candidates tends to remain same every year, the candidates from the previous years, which comprise of the droppers will be posing a tough competition for the exam candidates. So, it is very important that the candidates prepare for the exam keeping in mind that they have to compete the experienced as well as freshers.
As, while preparing the rank, 40% weightage will be given to the Class XII Marks too, the candidates must also prepare well for the Board Exams as well. Enough talks about the problems. Question 1: What are the most important things to be kept in mind while preparing for the exam? In fact, what should be considered while initiating the exam preparation?
Focus on ‘What is DONE’:
Always keep in mind that if you focus on the preparation and not on the topics which are still left to be prepared; you will score more. This will not only improve your efficiency but will also make you more confident.
Try to keep a record of everything you have prepared. Make different sections in a diary and note the topics you have prepared for the exam. As the list grows in each section, you will see the confidence levels will increase and the nervousness will decrease.
It is important that the time is managed properly while preparing for the exam. This can be achieved by keeping a WATCH ON THE WATCH while solving the problems. Try to keep a watch on the problem solving since the beginning as it will help you to learn time management.
This may sound mundane or lame or old-fashioned to you, but this little buddy will help you loads when followed properly and formulated carefully. Devote equivalent time to all the subjects. Obviously, there will be one you would be the most comfortable with, but the preference developing for a single subject can lead to weak preparation.
Question 2: What should be the proper time to solve the sample papers and the previous year papers.
Though a lot of people will suggest solving the sample papers after you have done the basic exam preparation, but in the following section, we shall be discussing some points with you which will challenge this statement:
