HPCET 2017 CounsellingHPCET 2017 Counselling - The registration for HPCET 2017 counselling process has been started by Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) in the online mode. The application form for HPCET 2017 counselling has been made available on June 01, 2017. The last date to register for the counselling of HPCET is June 30, 2017. Candidates applying for admission solely on the basis of JEE Main 2017 or qualifying exam will require paying the registration fee of Rs. 1550. (Rs. 1400 for SC/ST candidates). There will be two rounds of HPCET counselling 2017. The first round of counselling on the basis of JEE Main rank will be conducted from July 3, whereas for candidates who qualified HPCET 2017 exam, the counselling will start from July 8. If any seats remain vacant after the second round of counselling, HPTU will conduct the counselling for students on the basis of class 12 marks. All the qualified candidates have to appear in the HPCET counselling 2017 in person. It is mandatory for each and every candidate to verify their documents at the time of HPCET counselling 2017. Documents required for HPCET 2017 Counselling

The candidate must produce the following documents, in original along with one set of xerox copy duly attested at the time of counselling of HPCET 2017

  • Certificate of having passed the qualifying examination.
  • Marks-sheet issued by the Board/University.
  • Matriculation/Higher Secondary Part-I/Indian School Certificates showing the date of birth.
  • National Level Entrance Examination/ HPCET 2017 Score Card.
  • Character Certificate from the Head of Institution last attended.
  • Bonafide/domicile Certificate issued by the concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrate/Executive Magistrate.
  • Reserved Category Certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if applicable.
  • Physically Challenged Certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if applicable.
  • Income certificate issued by the competent authority, if candidates have applied under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme.
  • An affidavit attested by the Executive Magistrate if applied under Beti Hai Anmol Scheme.
  • All Kashmiri migrants must produce domicile certificate issued by Competent Authority, if applied under Supernumerary Kashmiri Migrant Quota.

How to apply for HPCET 2017 Counselling

Candidates have to click on the link given above and click on the “Register” button. In the registration page, candidates have to enter the following details and then click on the ‘Create Account’:

  • Name
  • Username
  • Password
  • Confirm password
  • Date of birth
  • Email ID
  • Mobile number

Upon successful registration, the system will generate the form number. Candidates must note down the number for future login.

Filling up of Application Form for HPCET 2017 Counselling

Candidates will require logging in with the user name, password and form number. Candidates have to undergo following activities:

  • Entering of personal, academic and communication details
  • Uploading of photograph and signature
  • Confirmation of application form

Payment of Registration Fee

Candidates registering for admission on the basis of HPCET 2017 exam does not have to pay any application fee. Candidates applying for admission through JEE Main 2017 or qualifying examination have to pay the application fee. Candidates have to pay the application fee through internet banking, Master/Visa/Credit/Debit card or by generating PNB Challan. The category wise fee structure is as given below:

Upon successful payment of the application fee, the duly filled in application form will be displayed on the screen. HPCET 2017 Counselling Procedure

  • All the shortlisted candidates who have paid the requisite fees will be offered admission into various B.Tech/B.E courses offered by around 20 participating colleges of HPTU
  • Counselling of HPCET 2017 will be done only when there are seats vacant after the initial two rounds of counselling conducted on the basis of JEE Main 2017 and HPCET 2017 entrance exam
  • Applicants will be called for HPCET counselling on the basis of their position in the merit list
  • Candidates have to report in person for HPCET counselling. Candidates will be given an opportunity to choose seats during the counselling
  • Candidates seeking admission under management quota have to apply to the concerned Private Affiliated College along with all the required documents
  • Admission into the allotted admission through HPCET 2017 counselling is subject to the fulfilment of eligibility norms defined by the concerned authority
  • The selection letter will be issued to the shortlisted candidates after all the formalities of HPCET counselling is completed
  • At the time of counselling, candidates have to pay non-refundable University fee of Rs. 3000. Candidates can pay it via Point of Sales (POS) Machine using Debit/Credit card or through Demand draft drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, H.P. Technical University payable at Hamirpur

Withdrawal of Admission & Refund of Fee

In case, any candidate applies for withdrawal of admission, the following rules will be governed in regard to the refund of fee:

  • If any candidates who is allotted a seat in the centralized counselling of HPCET surrenders the seat, the college/institute will deduct a processing fee of Rs. 1000 and the rest of the amount will be refunded to the student. However, candidates have to inform about the withdrawal the Chairman, Admission Committee, in writing, prior to the last round of counselling.
  • No fee and other charges except refundable securities will be refunded to a candidate who will surrender his/her seat after the last round of HPCET 2-17 counselling, subject to the condition that the seat vacated by him/her is not filled up.
  • If any candidate withdraws before the commencement of classes, the waiting list candidates will be given admission against the seas vacated by the candidate.
  • In case a student leaves after joining the course and the seat consequently remains vacant no refund shall be admissible. 

Highlights of HPCET Counselling 2017

  • If candidates do not attend the counselling as per the schedule or do not accept seat offered, then they cannot claim for the students any further. The seat will be offered to the next applicant in the merit list.
  • Admission shall be offered to the applicants of HPCET 2017 reserved categories before that of general category.
  • A candidate listed in the merit list of HPCET 2017 will be eligible for all rounds of HPCET 2017 counselling, irrespective of whether they have attended/availed admission in the colleges in the earlier rounds or not
  • If there are any vacant seats of reserved category, I will be transferred to the general category at the end of last round of HPCET counselling
