HPCET 2017 Reservation of Seats

All the candidates applying for admission through HPCET 2017 must know if they are entitled to the reservation of seats. The detailed information of category wise HPCET 2017 Reservation Criteria is given below:

A All India Quota (AIQ) 15% Eligible candidates belonging to any State or Union Territory including Himachal Pradesh are eligible to apply under this quota
B HP State Quota (HPSQ) 65% which includes one seat under Beti Hai Anmol Scheme of single girl child of Himachali domicile only.
  • Only eligible Himachali Bonafide candidates will have the benefit of reservation.
  • Candidates seeking admission under Beti Hai Anmol Scheme have to submit an affidavit attested by the Executive Magistrate specifically stating that the parents have only one girl child and have no other living son/daughter.
C Non Resident Indian (s) 5%  
D Management Seats in Private Institutions only 15% It will be filled by the respective institutions from amongst the students eligible for admission
E Supernumerary Seats
  Tuition Fee Waiver Seats 5%
  • These seats will be available only after a minimum of 30% of sanctioned seats in the respective courses are filled up.
  • Only those candidates domiciled in the state of Himachal Pradesh belonging to IRDP, BPL, Antodaya and Orphan families are eligible to get this benefit.
  • If the seats remain vacant, it will be filled by the candidates whose family annual income is less than 6 lakhs. To authenticate the claim, candidates will require producing relevant valid certificates issued by the competent authority at the time of counselling.
  Foreign nationals/Persons of Indian origins (PIO)/ Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries 15%  
  Kashmiri Migrant 2 seats in each institute These seats will be filled up by the candidates migrated from Kashmir. To avail this benefit, candidates have to produce certificates in support of their claim of being Kashmiri Migrants and domicile certificate issued by the competent authority

Vertical and Horizontal Reservation of Seats
