HPCL has released the notification for recruitment to the post of Executive Trainees through GATE 2018. The online registration for HPCL will begin on 12 January 2018. Aspirants can apply for HPCL recruitment through GATE 2018 till 12 February 2018. Engineers with specialisations in Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Chemical, Instrumentation and Civil can apply for HPCL recruitment through GATE 2018.
According to the official notification, candidates who have completed their four year degree course in engineering are eligible to apply for HPCL recruitment 2018. To apply for HPCL recruitment maximum of 25 years as on 30th June 2018 is required. However, SC, ST, OBC NCL, PWD candidates will have relaxation as per government rules. First, candidates have to appear for GATE 2018 following which they would be shortlisted for further rounds of selection depending on the post.
The application process for HPCL recruitment through GATE 2018 involves steps such as registration for GATE 2018, complete and submit the application form to receive 12 digit application number, payment of application fees of Rs 275 (ST/ST/PWD candidates exempted).
GATE 2018 will be conducted by IIT Guwahati on February 3, 4, 10 and 11. The online application form of GATE 2018 opened on August 31. Candidates can apply for GATE till October 5, 2017. GATE is a national level engineering entrance exam which facilitates admission to M.tech and M.E programmes across India and a few institutes abroad. The exam is also commonly used by Public Sector Units (PSUs) like IOCL, HPCL, SAIL among others for their PSU recruitment process. It is a three hour paper covering Multiple Choice (MCQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. There are 23 papers in GATE depending on the candidate's choice of discipline. One can apply for one disciplines only. Candidates applying for more than one discipline will not be allowed to sit for both roles.
