IMU CET Application Form 2018- Requirements

Candidates must have the following items ready before filling the application form of IMU CET 2018:

  • A valid mobile number and email ID
  • scanned copy of ST/Sc certificates
  • Recent photograph and signature

How to fill IMU CET Application Form 2018?

IMU CET 2018 aspirants have to fill the application form in the online mode. The step by step procedure to fill IMU CET application form 2018 are given below:

Step 1) Registration for IMU CET 2018 - Candidates have to register for IMU CET 2018 by clicking on the link ‘IMU CET application form 2018 released’ to be provided on this page. On the registration page candidates have to fill the following details:

  • Name of the Candidate (As in the HSC/10+2/Equivalent Certificate)
  • Social Category
  • Nationality
  • Date of Birth
  • Age as on July 17, 2018
  • Email Address
  • Mobile Number

Upon successful registration, the application number of IMU CET will be displayed on the screen. The login details will also be sent through mail and SMS to the registered email address and mobile number.

Step 2) Filling details in IMU CET 2018 application form- Registered candidates have to enter their application number as user id and date of birth as password. In IMU CET application form candidates have to enter the following details:

Personal details- Nationality, Gender, Mother Tongue, Parent’s/ Guardian’s Name (do not use any prefix such as Shri/ Mr./ Dr. Etc), Parent’s/ Guardian’s Occupation:, Parent’s/ Guardian’s Annual Income, Parent’s/ Guardian’s Mobile Number, Parent’s/ Guardian’s Email. Candidates also have to mention if they meet physical fitness criteria.

Communication details- Address for Correspondence and Present Address, Address Line 2, Address Line 3, District, State, Pincode, Rural/Urban

Academic details- In the application form of IMU CET candidates have to enter the following details related to their class X and XII examination:

IMU CET 2018 exam cities- Candidates have to select three exam cities as per their preference. Candidates also have to mention from where did they came to know about Indian Maritime University.

Step 3) Uploading scanned images- After entering the above-mentioned details in IMU CET application form 2018, applicants have to upload scanned images of photograph and signature, class X and XII certificate and category certificate (If applicable). Candidates must ensure that the scanned images of photograph and signature must be of the following specifications:

The photograph must be in 200 x 230 pixels. Signature should be in 200 x 100 pixels.
The size of the photograph should be less than or equal to 500 KB The size of the scanned image should be less than or equal to 100 KB.
The photograph must be recent passport style, coloured preferably against a light, coloured/white background, without red eye The signature must be on white paper with black ink pen
Wearing of caps, hats or dark glasses is not acceptable. Religious head wear is allowed but it must not cover the face.  

Step 4) Payment of IMU CET 2018 application fee- Applicants have to pay the requisite application fee amount. IMU application fee has to be paid online using credit card/ debit card/ visa/ master cards. Candidates can check the category wise application fee in the table given below:

Step 5) Print out of filled in IMU CET 2018 application form- After making the payment, candidates will be able to download the application form of IMU CET. Applicants must ensure to take a print out of the form and keep it safe for future reference.

About IMU CET 2018

Indian Maritime University conducts IMU CET for admission to various undergraduate programmes offered at its six campuses and affiliated institutes. IMU CET 2018 is an online test to be held across 36 cities in the country. Questions in IMU CET will be based on class XII syllabus and it will have questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and General Aptitude. Based on MU CET 2018 marks, the six campuses of IMU will fill an approximate number of 906 seats. In 2017, a total number of 16542 students qualified IMU CET for admission into undergraduate programmes.
