IMU CET Reservation of Seats 2018IMU CET Reservation of Seats 2018 – Indian Maritime University will consider the reservation of seats for IMU CET 2018 according to the norms set by the Government of India. IMU CET 2018 will be held in the fourth week of May 2018. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories such as scheduled tribe, scheduled caste, other backward classes and differently abled candidates must fill the application form and specify their category therein. Women candidates (only applicable for B.Tech/B.Tech will also have a percentage of IMU CET reservation of seats 2018. All the unfilled reserved seats will be converted to General Category. Candidates should also fulfil their eligibility for the quota available for the IMU CET 2018 reservation of seats. IMU CET Reservation of Seats 2018

All the candidates who wish to apply under the reserved categories must go through the percentage of seats reserved for each category. It is compulsory for all the candidates to hold the citizenship of India.

Candidates applying under these categories must submit a certificate in original in the application form from district Magistrate or any other designated officials of the State Government where the authority must issue the certificate where the parents of the candidate if alive/if not surviving the candidate himself/herself lives.


IMU CET Eligibility Criteria 2018

For appearing in IMU CET 2018 the candidate's age as on the date of admission on 1 st August 2018 must be as follows:

  • Minimum age 17 years

  • Maximum age 25 Years

All the candidates are required to be medically fit and must satisfy other eligibility criteria of IMU CET 2018 set by Indian Maritime University to appear in IMU CET 2018 and get selected for admission to pursue marine courses.

For admission into marine engineering courses candidates need to provide a certificate for medical fitness. All the candidates must produce their certificates from Doctors approved by Director General Shipping without which the certificates will be considered invalid. Differently abled candidates will not be considered for IMU CET 2018.

Those who are going to appear in the qualifying examination later than 31st May 2018 are not eligible to appear in IMU CET 2018. Candidates who have given their “improvement” papers should secure 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM). Applicants who have got “compartmental” must appear and pass from the same qualifying board. If any candidate changes the board he/she is not eligible to appear in IMU CET 2018.

About IMU CET 2018: Indian Maritime University conducts a common entrance test commonly known as IMU CET for admission to various undergraduate programmes offered at its four campuses and affiliated institutes. IMU CET will be held in the online mode in around 36 cities of the country.
