The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has announced the notification for recruitment to the post of engineers (B.Tech/B.E) and Assistant Quality Control Officer (M.Sc in Chemistry) through GATE 2018. M.Sc candidates should have a minimum experience of two years. The online application form will be made available on January 5, 2018. Aspirants can apply for IOCL 2018 recruitment through GATE till February 4, 2018. B.Tech candidates with specializations in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Civil, Chemical, Computer Science and Engineering, Metallurgy and Instrumentation can apply for IOCL recruitment through GATE 2018.
According to the official notification, candidates applying for IOCL recruitment 2018 have to first appear for GATE 2018 following which they would be shortlisted for further rounds of selection depending on the post. Selection will be based on group discussion, group task and personal interview based on GATE 2018 scores only. GATE 2017 score or previous scores will not be valid for the IOCL recruitment. Applicants can apply for IOCL recruitment through GATE 2018 only after submitting GATE 2018 registration number.
IIT Guwahati will conduct GATE 2018 on February 3, 4, 10 and 11. The online application forms of GATE 2018 opened on August 31. Candidates can apply for GATE till October 5, 2017. GATE is a national level engineering entrance exam which facilitates admission to M.tech and M.E programmes across India and a few institutes abroad. The exam is also commonly used by Public Sector Units (PSUs) like BHEL, HPCL and NTPC among others for their PSU recruitment through GATE process. It is a three-hour paper covering Multiple Choice (MCQs) and numerical answer type (NAT) questions. There are 23 papers in GATE depending on the candidate's preferred branch.
