The Exam Pattern of IPU CET 2017 includes important information related to the format of the test such as exam duration, sections covered, total number of questions, marking scheme, etc. Candidates who appeared for the entrance test were well acquainted with the format of the test to be well prepared for the examination in advance. IPU CET 2017 Exam Pattern

Candidates must go through the details of the exam pattern to understand about the pattern of the examination. Students will be able to lay out a proper plan for the common entrance test. The details of the test format of IPU CET 2017 are given below:

Total number of papers: Candidates have to appear for only one paper.

Mode of examination: GGSIPU has conducted the entrance test in the online mode.

Medium of paper: All the questions and instructions in the question paper will be communicated through the medium of English.

Duration: The entrance test for B.Tech was held for 2 hours 30 minutes from 2 PM to 4:30 PM. And for B.Tech (Bio-Technology) candidates were given a total duration of 3 hours i.e. the test will be conducted from 2 PM to 5 PM.

Total number of questions: Candidates have to attempt a maximum number of 150 questions in the entrance examination. For Biotechnology, the total number of questions is 200.

Total number of sections: The question paper will comprise questions from three sections, namely, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The Biotechnology paper will comprise questions from Biology along with PCM.

Total number of marks: The question paper was of 600 marks in total. For the Biotechnology paper, the total number of marks is 800.

Marking scheme: For every correct answer, four marks will be awarded to the candidate. 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. There is no negative marking for questions that are not attempted.

For B.Tech (CET Code- 131)
