IPU CET 2018: Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) is conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) every year for admission to around 12 B.Tech programmes offered by nearly 21 government and private institutes affiliated to the university. GGSIPU has announced the exam schedule of IPU CET 2018 which will be held in the offline mode. The exam date for B.Tech CET is 13 May 2018 whereas B.Tech (Biotechnology) exam will be held on 19 May 2018. The application form of IPU CET 2018 will be available online from the third week of February till 1 May 2018. As per IPU CET 2018 eligibility criteria, candidates who have cleared or appeared 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board can appear in the exam. In keeping with IPU CET 2018 exam pattern, the B.Tech paper will carry 150 questions of 600 marks and the Biotechnology paper will carry 200 questions of 800 full marks. IPU CET 2018 result for B.Tech and Biotechnology will be declared on 24 and 31 May 2018 respectively. The application form of IPU CET 2018 will be available online from the third week of February 2018. Last date to submit the filled IPU CET 2018 application is 1 May 2018. IPU CET application form 2018 can be filled in the following nine steps:

Candidates whose applications have been accepted can download the online admit card of IPU CET 2018 from the second week of May 2018. To download the hall ticket of IPU CET, one has to login with their login ID and password. Details such as roll number, exam date and time, exam centre name and address with centre code and exam day guidelines are printed on the IPU CET 2018 admit card. Candidates must print two copies of the IPU CET admit card 2018 and carry it with them on the exam day. On the day of examination, one copy will be retained by the invigilator for university records while the other copy will be handed over to the candidate after being signed by the invigilator.

IPU CET 2018 offers admission to B.Tech (Biotechnology) and around 12 B.Tech courses. The list of B.Tech programmes is given below.:

The IPU CET 2018 syllabus differs across each B. Tech course. The syllabus of IPU CET 2018 for B.Tech CET includes sections from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of weightage 33.33% for each. The Biotechnology syllabus includes sections from PCM of weightage 20% for each and Biology (Botany and Zoology) or Biotechnology of weightage 40%.
Candidates preparing for the exam are advised to practise the sample papers of IPU CET 2018 to get a high score in the examination. With the help of IPU CET 2018 sample papers, candidates can get an idea of the actual question paper including the marking scheme and type of questions asked in the examination. Practice of sample papers will also help students improve their time management skills and identify and work on their weak areas.
The IPU CET 2018 answer key will be released by IP University before the result is declared. The answer key of IPU CET 2018 will give the candidates an idea about their performance in the main examination. Candidates can tally their answers with the IPU CET answer key 2018 and calculate their expected score in the examination.
The IPU CET 2018 result for B.Tech and Biotechnology will be declared on 24 May and 31 May 2018 respectively. The result of IPU CET 2018 will be available only in the online mode. Candidates can check their result by entering the their IPU CET roll number and courses applied for. No hard copy of IPU CET result 2018 will be issued to the candidates.
The counselling of IPU CET 2018 will begin from the second week of June 2018. Candidates qualifying IPU CET 2018 will be called to participate in the counselling process. IPU CET 2018 counselling will be conducted in three rounds and an additional spot round in both online and offline modes. Online registration for the counselling process will be open until around the last week of June 2018. The counselling process of IPU CET 2018 includes registration, filling of Choices, fee payment, allotment of seats and reporting to the allocated colleges.
The seat allotment of IPU CET 2018 will be done in three rounds in the second week of June 2018. Qualified candidates who register themselves for IPU CET 2018 counselling will be allotted seats in order of their ranks obtained. To participate in the seat allotment process, candidates need to pay the counselling participation fee at the time of registration for counselling. Candidates have to fill in their college and course preferences at the time of IPU CET 2018 seat allotment. Seats will be allotted to the students on the basis of their preferences, merit and category.
