Joint Admission Counselling Delhi

JAC Delhi 2018JAC Delhi 2018 -  Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi is conducted by Joint Admission Counselling Committee, Delhi for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in four participating institutes. Admission through JAC Delhi 2018 will be done in multiple rounds on the basis of JEE Main 2018 All India Rank (AIR). Candidates can fill JAC Delhi application form 2018 from the second week of June till the fourth week of June 2018. The admission authority will start allotting seats to candidates from the last week of June 2018. Through JAC Delhi 2018, candidates will be allotted seats to its four participating institutes, viz. Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Delhi Technological University (DTU), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-D) and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT). JAC Delhi Eligibility Criteria 2018

Candidates must verify that they fulfill the eligibility criteria of JAC Delhi 2018 before registering for the exam. Admission to B.Tech courses will be done on the basis of All India Rank in JEE Main paper 1. As per JAC Delhi 2018 eligibility criteria, for admission to B.Tech courses at DTU, IGDTUW and NSIT, candidates must have cleared or appeared 10+2 or an equivalent examination with 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. For admission to B.Tech courses at IIIT-D, candidates must have obtained 80% aggregate in best of five subjects and 80% in Mathematics separately. Paper 2 of JEE Main 2018 will be taken into consideration for admission to B.Arch at IGDTUW, which requires one to have cleared 10+2 with 50% aggregate. As stated in JAC Delhi eligibility criteria 2018, for admission to DTU and IIIT- D, candidates must be between 17 to 25 years of age as on October 1, 2018. There is no minimum age requirement for admission to NSIT and IGDTUW.


JAC Delhi Application Form 2018

The application form of JAC Delhi 2018 will be available online from the second week of June 2018. Candidates seeking admission to UG engineering courses in JAC Delhi 2018 participating institutes will require to pay the registration cum counselling fee of Rs. 1400 along with requisite transaction charges. Before filling the JAC Delhi 2018 application form, students must ensure that they are eligible for admission. Candidates found ineligible at any later stage will be disqualified without any refund of application fee. To fill the application form of JAC Delhi 2018, candidates have to follow the below given steps in order:

JAC Delhi Reservation of Seats 2018

JAC Committee, Delhi reserves a certain number of seats for special category candidates. In order to avail admission under JAC Delhi 2018 reservation of seats, candidates have to apply for the same while filling the application form. Students seeking admission under JAC Delhi reservation of seats 2018 will have to produce the caste/ category certificates at the time of verification of documents during counselling.


JAC Delhi 2018 Merit List

The merit list of JAC Delhi 2018 will be prepared on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) of candidates in JEE Main 2018. In case of B.Tech programmes, All India Rank in Paper-1 of JEE Main 2018 will be considered. For B.Arch. at IGDTUW, All India Rank in Paper-2 of JEE Main 2018 will be considered. Other than above merit rank, candidates will also be provisionally allotted seats taking into consideration the details of category, region, qualification, choices etc. provided by them during JAC Delhi application.


JAC Delhi Counselling 2018

Candidates whose names appear on the merit list will be called for counselling of JAC Delhi 2018 on the basis of merit. Those called for JAC Delhi 2018 counselling will have to report in person to the respective institutes for verification of documents. During JAC Delhi counselling 2018, candidates will have to bring original as well as self-attested copies of necessary documents. The list of documents to be produced at the time of JAC Delhi 2018 counselling is given below:

  • Admission fee payment receipt

  • Printout of application form duly signed by candidate and parent/guardian

  • Printout of choices filled

  • Three copies of coloured passport-sized photograph

  • Printout of JEE Main 2018 admit and score card

  • Mark-sheet of 10+2 or equivalent examination

  • Printout out of seat allotment letter

  • Proof of Date of Birth

  • Special category certificates (if applicable)

  • Medical fitness certificate in given format

  • PD sub-category certificate from Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for Physically Handicapped Karkardooma, VikasMarg, Delhi-110092 in given format. No certificate other than this shall be accepted.


JAC Delhi Seat Allotment 2018

The seat allotment of JAC Delhi 2018 will be conducted from the last week of June 2018. Candidates will be called for JAC Delhi 2018 seat allotment on the basis of their ranks. Seats allotted to candidates will be cancelled if candidates fail to reach the institute within designated time. Candidates admitted to other branches will be considered for upgradation after the final round of JAC Delhi 2018 seat allotment, subject to availability. Seats under reserved categories are interchangeable and in case sufficient seats are not filled, the vacant seats will be considered unreserved.
