The result of JEE Advanced 2016 has been announced on 12 June 2016. The entrance exam was held on 22 May 2016. This year’s JEE Advanced was organised by IIT Guwahati. The result has been announced for those who wrote a paper I and II. The candidates who appeared for the exam can check their result by accessing the link provided below. By following the simple steps given below candidates can check their JEE Advanced Result 2016

  • Access the link provided here
  • A small portal will be displayed on the screen
  • Enter JEE Advanced 2016 Registration Number, Date of Birth, Mobile Number and E-mail Id.
  • After entering all above details, click on the 'Login' button.
  • Result and rank will be displayed on the screen
  • Candidates are advised to download the result and procure 2-3 hard copies of the same.

It is to be noted that all the details provided in above portal should be accurate. In case any of the given information is invalid the result will not be generated.


JEE Advanced 2016 Cut-off – Qualifying Marks

The cut-off list of each category has also been released. On the basis of it, the rank has been allotted to the candidates. Below is the table showing the minimum prescribed marks to qualify the exam

JEE Advanced 2016 Tie-Break

Below is the policy that will be adopted in case, marks of two or more candidates are same

  • A Higher rank will be allocated to the candidates who secured better marks in mathematics. In case, this does not break the tie.
  • Better rank will be assigned to the candidate who secured higher marks in Physics. Even if this does not break the tie, both the candidates will be allocated the same rank.
