Q. I have Class XII pass certificate and the marks statement as a separate document. Which document should I upload during the JEE (Advanced) 2017 Application Form?
A. You need to upload your Class XII marks statement.
Q. I am appearing for Class XII examination in 2017. Will I be able to register for JEE (Advanced) 2017 without uploading Class XII certificate?
A. Yes, you can register for JEE Advanced 2017 if you are appearing your Class 12 examination in 2017. You do not have to submit your class 12 mark sheet or any certificate regarding the qualification examination.
Q. Will the question paper of JEE Advanced 2017 be in both Hindi and in English Language?
A: No, the question paper will be either in English or Hindi. You have to select the question paper language during JEE Advanced 2017 Application Form fill-up.
Q. Are Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2017?

Q. I am appearing in class XII exam first time in 2017. If I do not write JEE (ADV) 2017, am I eligible for JEE(ADV) in 2018 and 2019?
A. As per the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2017 you can appear in the exam in two consecutive days. Therefore if you are appearing for Class XII in 2017 then you can appear for the JEE Advanced in 2017 and 2018 but you will not be eligible to appear in 2019.
Q. I have accepted a seat through JoSAA 2016. Can I appear for JEE Advanced 2017?
A. If you have already submitted a seat in IITs through JoSAA then you are not eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2017.

A. Yes, you have to appear for both the papers to qualify in JEE Advanced 2017. If you are absent in one of the papers then you will consider as absent for JEE Advanced 2017 examination.
Q. What is my Login ID to fill JEE Adavnced Application form?
A. The login ID will be your JEE Main 2017 Roll Number. The password will be same as entered in JEE Main 2017 Application Form.
Q. Is it compulsory to enter my mobile number in the Application Form of JEE Advanced 2017?
A. Yes, it is necessary to enter at least one valid mobile number during the application form to receive all the important notifications on JEE Advanced 2017.
Q. How many mobile number are required in the JEE Advanced 2017 Application Form?
A. You have to provide at least two mobile numbers in the application form.
Q. In which stage of the JEE Advanced 2017 Application Form i have to upload my documentscertificates?
A. In Step 2 of the application form you need to upload the documentscertificates.
Q. In which step the Payment option is available for payment of Application Fees?
A: In Step 3 of the Application Form you will need to pay the application fees. The application fees can be paid through Online Net BankingCreditDebit Cardthrough Challan payment methodby Cash in SBI branch. All the candidates applying for the exam in Dubai have to make their payment by using the international debitcredit card issued by Foreign Bank outside India.
Q. During JEE (Main) 2017 registration I have declared my category wrongly. Can I correct it during JEE (Advanced) 2017 registration?
A. No, you cannot change your category during JEE Advanced 2017 Application Form fill up. So, it is important to select your category carefully at the time of JEE Main 2017 Application Form fill up.
Q. Can I use the credit card to pay the registration fee for JEE Advanced 2017?
A: The Application Fees for JEE Advanced 2017 can be paid through SBI Debit card Net Banking and SBI Cash SBI Challan only. No Credit Card payment will be accepted.
Q. Can I fill in the registration form for JEE Advanced 2017 on the last date?
A. It is always advised from the conducting body to submit the application form earlier as server problem persists during the last date of application form and also the confirmation from the banks comes only once in a day. So it is always advisable to submit the form as early as possible to avoid any further problems.
Q. Up to which step of the application form can I pay the registration fee without late fee for registering for JEE Advanced 2017?
A. If you complete your step 2 by 2nd May 2017, then you can pay the normal fee. But if you complete the step 2 on 3rd or 4th May, then you have to pay an additional amount of Rs. 500.
Q. I belong to OBC (NCL ) Category. How can i apply under this category and what is the reservation criteria for OBC (NCL) category in JEE Advanced 2017?
A. If your parent's income falls in Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) you can apply under OBC Category during JEE Main 2017 Application Form with a valid OBC (NCL) issued by Government of India. You can apply during the JEE Main 2017 Application Form which will end on January 16, 2017.
If you do not have a valid NCL Certification and you have applied for JEE Main 2017 your category will be considered under the general category.
Q. I have declared my category as OBC-NCL during JEE Main 2017 registration. I do not have a valid NCL certification. Can I upload a certificate issued prior to April 1, 2017?
A. No, only a valid OBC-NCL certificate as per the prescribed format issued on or after 1st April-2017 should be uploaded for getting the benefits of OBC-NCL category.
Q.In case I am not able to obtain the OBC (NCL) certificate at the time of registration of JEE Main 2017. What should I do?
A. If in case, you are not able to obtain the OBC (NCL) certificate in the month of April 2017, you can upload a self-declaration saying that you will do so by June 5, 2017 (that is, after about one more month from April 1, 2017). You cannot submit the certificate at the time of admission because your JEE Main 2017 Result will be calculated under the general category if you do not provide any clarification about it to the conducting body at the time of registration.
Q. I am from defence service personnel background. Is there any reservation for Defence Category?
A. Not all defence service personnel' children are eligible for DS category seats. DS category seats are earmarked for children of defenceparamilitary personnel killed or permanently disabled in action during war or peacetime operations. The Certificate (FORM-DS) issued by a competent authority in the Directorate of Resettlement and Rehabilitation, New Delhi under the Ministry of Defence or the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India.
Queries regarding JEE Advanced 2017 Exam Pattern
A. The answer sheet of each paper of JEE Advanced 2017 is a machine readable called Optical Response Sheet (ORS). The ORS has two pages with the same layout. The first page of the ORS is machine readable. It is designed so as to leave impressions of the responses on the second page. Candidates should not separate or disturb the alignment of the two pages of the ORS at any stage and under any circumstance.The answers will have to be marked using Black Point Pen. Therefore, no modifications can be done once the answers are marked by you.

Q. What is time to reach the examination centre to appear in JEE Advanced 2017?
A. The date and time for the exam will be mentioned in the admit card of JEE advanced 2017 and also other important instructions about the examination will be given for all those who have applied for JEE Advanced 2017. It is always recommended to reach the examination centre in well advance. It is best to make yourself familiar with the examination centre one day before the examination to avoid difficulties in communication.
Q. Am I required to provide fingerprints to appear in JEE Advanced 2017?
