JEE Advanced 2018JEE Advanced 2018 – Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) or JEE Advanced is a national level examination scheduled to be held on May 20, 2018 administered by IIT Kanpur for admission to engineering programmes in the 23 IITs. The admit card of JEE Advanced has been made available online from May 15 to 20. The entrance examination consists of two compulsory papers - paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm while paper 2 will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm. For the first time, JEE Advanced 2018 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Candidates whose applications are accepted is able to download the admit card from May 15 until the exam day. Both the papers will have objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. IIT Kanpur had released the mock test of the exam on December 19 to make aspirants familiar with CBT mode of examination. JEE Advanced is conducted by the 7 zonal IITs under the guidance of Joint Admission Board (JAB). JEE Advanced 2018 is the second stage of the Joint Entrance Examination and only the top 2,31,024 JEE Main rank holders will be eligible to appear. The conducting body will release the answer key on May 29, which can be challenged till May 30. JEE Advanced result 2018 will be declared online on June 10 after which candidates will be able to register for the Architecture Aptitude Test to be held on June 14, 2018. JEE Advanced Important Dates 2018

JAB has released the important dates of JEE Advanced 2018 with the release of the information brochure. IIT Kanpur will conduct the entrance exam in the CBT mode on May 20, 2018. JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2018

The eligibility criteria of JEE Advanced 2018 states the norms that candidates must fulfill to appear in the entrance test. The eligibility criteria include age requirement, academic qualification, total attempts among others. Candidates can check JEE Advanced eligibility criteria 2018 below:

  • Performance in JEE Main 2018- Only the top 2,31,024 JEE Main rank holders are eligible to appear in examination.
  • Age requirement- Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1993. For candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD candidates there is a relaxation of 5 years, i,e, they must be born on or after October 1, 1988.
  • Academic qualification- Candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination at the first go in 2017 or 2018. They must have secured 75% (65% for reserved categories) in the qualifying examination. They also must be within the top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective board examination.
  • Number of attempts- The maximum number of attempts that a candidate can avail is two times in consecutive years.
  • Earlier admission at IITs- Candidates who accepted seats or admitted in an IIT irrespective of whether they have continued in the programme are not eligible for the entrance test.

JEE Advanced Application Form 2018

The application form of JEE Advanced 2018 has been released online on May 2, 2018. Eligible candidates can fill the application form till May 7 and last day to pay the application fee for registered candidates is May 8, 2018. The application procedure involves three basic steps. Aspirants have to complete all the steps mentioned below to successfully apply for test:

  1. Filling JEE Advanced application form- Candidates have to log in with their JEE Advanced roll number and password. In the form, applicants have to fill their personal, academic and contact details.

  2. Uploading scanned images- Candidates have to upload scanned copies of all the requisite documents in the specified format.

  3. JEE Advanced application fee payment- The application fee can be paid online through SBI debit card/ net banking or in the offline mode through e-challan.


JEE Advanced Exam Centres 2018

IIT Kanpur will conduct the entrance test in 155 cities and towns of the country and 6 cities abroad. Exam cities are divided into seven IIT zones. Candidates have to select five examination cities in order of their preference while applying for the entrance test. A particular city will have multiple exam centres. JEE Advanced Admit Card 2018

JEE Advanced admit card is issued to all successfully registered candidates on May 15, 2018. JEE Advanced 2018 admit card is released online and to download it candidates have to enter their registration number, date of birth, mobile number and email ID on the login page. The admit card is consist details about the exam date and time, address of the exam centre, roll number, candidates name, date of birth etc. Candidates have to take a print out of hall ticket and take it along with them to the exam centre.


JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2018

IIT Kanpur, the conducting authority will conduct JEE Advanced in the computer-based test mode. Till 2017, the test was held in pen and paper (P&P) based mode. This year the medium of the paper will be both in English and Hindi and candidates will be able to switch between the two languages any time during the examination if required. Some aspects of the question paper such as number of papers, subjects, question type, language medium and duration are announced before the examination. JEE Advanced Syllabus 2018

The syllabus of JEE advanced 2018 list out the topics prescribed for the examination. The syllabus comprises topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. JEE Advanced Sample Papers 2018

JEE Advanced Mock Test 2018

As JEE Advanced 2018 will be conducted in the CBT mode for the first time, the mock test has been made available on December 19, 2017, for practice. JEE Advanced mock test 2018 has been introduced for aspirants to get familiar with the CBT mode of the examination. JEE Advanced Answer Key 2018

The answer key of JEE Advanced 2018 will be published on May 29, 2018 (10 am). Prior to that, candidates will be able to view their responses made in the examination from May 22 to 25, 2018. In case candidates find any discrepancy in the answer key they can send their feedback and comments till May 30 (5 pm). JThe answer key will be released both by the official body and coaching institutes. The answer key comprises correct responses to all the questions asked in the examination. By comparing the responses marked by candidates in the entrance test with that of answer key candidates can calculate their probable score. 


JEE Advanced Result 2018

JEE Advanced result will be announced by IIT Kanpur on June 10, 2018. The result will be declared online and candidates can download it by entering their registration number and date of birth. The result will consist the scores obtained by candidates in paper 1 and paper 2. The All India rank and category wise rank secured by candidates will also be mentioned in JEE Advanced result 2018.


JEE Advanced Rank List 2018

JEE Advanced rank list will be published along with the result. Only those candidates who have appeared in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of JEE Advanced 2018 will be considered for ranking. The rank list will be prepared on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination. If in case, two or more candidates secure the same aggregate mark, the tie-breaking resolution will be used to assign the ranks.


JEE Advanced Cutoff 2018

The cutoff of JEE Advanced is the minimum percentage that candidates have to secure to qualify the entrance test. Only those candidates who will secure the minimum percentage defined for each subject as well as in aggregate will be considered for the rank list. JEE Advanced Counselling 2018

JEE Advanced counselling and seat allotment of the qualified candidates for admission to the 23 IITs including ISM Dhanbad will be done by the Joint Seat allocation Authority (JoSAA). The registration and choice filling for the counselling process will commence on June 19, 2018. The counselling of JEE Advanced 2018 includes online registration, choice filling and locking, seat allotment, seat acceptance, fee payment and reporting to the allotted colleges.


JEE Advanced Participating Institutes 2018

The participating institutes of JEE Advanced 2018 list out the names of the institutes which will offer admission to the qualified candidates in various undergraduate engineering courses. Through JEE Advanced, the prestigious 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) including ISM Dhanbad will fill around 11,000 B.tech seats. Apart from the IITs, there are 11 other institutes that consider JEE Advanced score for admission such as IISERs, RGIPT, IISc to name a few.
