Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released JEE Main 2015 answer key and OMR. Both were released on the official website, for all the four sets, of Paper-1 and Paper-2. Candidates may avail and check it till 22 April 2015. To do so, access the link below.
JEE Main 2015 Paper-1 was held on 4 April (fore noon and after noon session), 10 and 11 April (only morning session). The Board has issued the key for both the B.Tech/ B.E (Paper-1) and B.Arch/ B.Planning (Paper-2). For both the Papers, there were fours sets which were distinguished by a unique alphabetical code. For Paper-1, the codes were A, B, C and D. Whereas, the same for Paper-2 was W, X, Y, Z.
While downloading the key, candidates will have to take care of the Paper, its set, the session and the exam date. Every set, for each session will be produce varied result. So candidate are advised to download the official answer key only for their test set.
The Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet is also issued for all the candidates. Scanned copy of Pen and Paper response sheets, as well as, OMR of Computer Based Test has been uploaded. With the help of the OMR and published answer key, candidates can estimate their result/ scores for the exam.
To estimate the scores, candidates will have to cross-check the marked response in the OMR, with the answers in the issued answer key. Then, as per the marking, of the examination, allocate 4 mark to the self for marking correct response. Whereas, deduct 1/4 marks, for marking incorrect response. When all the questions will be checked, candidates estimated scores will be calculated.
The Board has also provided the provision to challenge the captured OMR and the answer key. Candidates may do so by submitting fee, Rs. 1000 (per question), to the board. The amount can be paid via credit/debit card or e-challan. Once the fee is paid, JAB/ CBSE will consider the request of the candidates and will announce its final verdict. Under any circumstances, the final verdict will not alter. Last date to challenge the OMR and answer key is 22 April 2015, till 5:00 p.m.
The result of the exam will be released on 27 April 2015. On the basis of the JEE Main 2015 and class XII normalized scores, All India Rank (AIR) will be prepared. The rank will be disclosed on 7 July 2015. Admission into NITs and CFTIs will be granted only on the basis of the rank, in the counselling round. CSAB will soon release all the dates and details for the counselling.
