JEE Main Admit Card 2018 - The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to release JEE Main admit card 2018 in the second week of March. The admit card of JEE Main 2018 will be available online and to download it candidates have to log in with their application number and date of birth. CBSE will not dispatch any hard copy of JEE Main admit card to the students. The admit card of JEE Main will bear the name and address of the exam centre allotted to the candidates. The date and time of the exam along with candidate’s personal information and instructions for the exam will also be mentioned on the hall ticket of JEE Main. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is a national level examination conducted by CBSE every year in both online and offline mode. CBSE has announced the date for JEE Main offline paper and it is scheduled to be held on April 8, 2018. As the Computer Based Test (CBT) is usually conducted a week after the offline exam, JEE Main 2018 in CBT mode to be held on April 15 or 16. The entrance examination is divided into two papers – Paper 1 is for B.Tech/B.E and Paper 2 is for B.Arch/B.Planning. Through JEE Main, the 31 NITs, 23 IIITs, 20 GFTIs and other Institutes funded by participating state Governments offers admission into various undergraduate engineering programmes. Also, JEE Main is the gateway to appear for JEE Advanced for admission into the 23 IITs.

Requirement of Class XII Roll number to Download JEE Main Admit Card 2018
Last year, while downloading JEE Main admit card, candidates were asked to enter their class XII/HSC roll number. Candidates who entered incorrect roll number at the time of filling up the form were given the opportunity to update their class 12 roll number. Candidates will have to enter their HSC roll number while downloading the admit card of JEE Main 2018.
The class 12 roll number will be used to verify the identity of the candidates by the respective institutes at the time of admission to various undergraduate engineering programmes
Candidates have to follow the steps given below to download the admit card of JEE Main 2018:
Step 1: Click on the link to be provided on this page
Step 2: On the login page, enter application number, date of birth, security pin and then click on the ‘Submit’ button
Step 3: Candidates have to verify all the information displayed on the screen and then click on ‘Download Your Admit Card’ button
Step 4: Before downloading the admit card candidates have to enter/update their class 12 roll number
Step 5: View all the details printed in JEE admit card 2018, take a print out of and retain it safely for future reference

To download the JEE Main hall ticket 2018, candidates have to enter their application number along with their date of birth. In case, candidates do not remember the application number they can recover it by following the steps given below:
Step 1: Candidates have to click on ‘Forgot Application Number?’ link displayed on the right bottom side of the admit card login window
Step 2: To recover the application number applicants have to enter the details shown below:
Step 3: After entering all the required information correctly, candidates have to click on the ‘Submit’ button. The JEE Main 2018 application number will appear on the screen.
Step 4: Candidates must note it down and go back to the login window to download JEE Main admit card 2018.
As per CBSE guidelines, candidates only have to carry the admit card to JEE Main exam centre 2018. No other documents/ certificates are required to be taken to the exam centre. However, applicants belonging to the Physically Challenged (PwD) candidates must carry a copy of their disability certificate in the prescribed format along with the admit card of JEE Main to the test centre.

Q. Will the admit card of JEE Main be available in the offline mode?
A: CBSE will issue the admit card only in the online mode. No hard will be issued or sent to the applicants
Q. Is it compulsory to enter class 12 roll number when downloading JEE Main admit card?
A: Yes, after logging in candidates have to enter their class 12 roll number. The roll number will be used to verify the candidate’s identity at during the time of admission at the allotted institute
Q. Do we need to bring the JEE Main admit card to the test centre?
A: Yes, it is necessary for each and every applicant to bring the admit card to the exam centre. Without the possession of the admit card, no candidate will be permitted to sit in the examination
Q. What should I do if the details mentioned on the admit card of JEE Main is incorrect?
A: In case of any discrepancy in the JEE Main 2018 admit card candidates must immediately report to CBSE for rectification
Q. Apart from JEE Main admit card 2018, what else do I need to carry along with me to the exam centre?
A: Apart from the admit card, candidates are not allowed to carry any other item to the exam centre. However, PWD candidates have to carry a copy of their disability certificate in the prescribed format
Candidates appearing for the offline mode of exam can carry a cardboard/clipboard to the exam hall. Candidates must ensure that nothing is written on it.

A: To recover the application number candidates have to click on ‘Forgot Application Number?’ displayed on the admit card login window. Candidates have to enter all the required details such as name, parents name, birth date, state of eligibility and security pin to retrieve the application number
Q. At what time will the entrance exam start?
A: The test will start exactly at the time mentioned on the admit card of JEE Main. Candidates must check the time mentioned on the hall ticket and reach the examination centre two and half hour prior to the commencement of the test.
