JEE Main Paper 1 Result 2017JEE Main Paper 1 Result 2017: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced JEE Main 2017 for Paper I on April 27. The candidates who appeared for JEE Main 2017 on April 2, 8 and 9 can check Paper I JEE Main Result here. A link to access the result is provided in this article for the convenience of the candidates. To check JEE Main Paper 1 result 2017, candidates must enter JEE Main 2017 roll number and date of birth. Along with the result of JEE Main Paper I, the score and All India Rank of JEE Main will be declared by CBSE. The result of JEE Main to be declared for around 11,98,989 candidates who appeared in JEE Main 2017 exam. Among the total candidates, 10,15349 appeared in pen and paper based mode on April 2 and remaining 1,83,640 candidates took the exam in online mode held on April 8 and 9, 2017. The JEE Main 2017 result contains All India Rank, scores obtained by the candidates and category wise ranks. With the declaration of JEE Main Paper 1 Result 2017, candidates can also know whether they have qualified for appearing in JEE Advanced 2017 or not. According to the CBSE officials, from the academic year 2017-18 onwards, Class XII examination marks has not been considered for calculating JEE Main AIR. JEE Main Paper 2 result will be announced on May 27 for B.Arch candidates. Moreover, top 2,20,000 candidates who appeared for JEE Main 2017 will be selected for appearing in JEE Advanced 2017.

What is JEE Main AIR 2017?

JEE All India rank is the ranks prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates who appeared in JEE Main 2017.

The marks of candidates have been computed out of the total marks of 360. The JEE 2017 All India rank is prepared in descending order of the marks secured by the candidates. This means candidates who have secured highest marks has been placed higher in rank list and accordingly rank has been allotted to all candidates.

Along with the JEE Mai 2017 result, All India Rank has been also announced on April 27. For the counselling process, the conducting authority, JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) will consider only JEE Main AIR for seat allotment in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs.

JEE Main 2017 cut off:

CBSE will also release JEE Main cut off for all categories. The JEE Main cutoff is the lowest possible marks that the candidates need to score to qualify the exam. JEE Main All India rank will only be allotted to candidates who have secured the prescribed cut off score. Given below in the table is the JEE Main cutoff score.

JEE Main Counselling 2017

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2017 will conduct JEE Main Counselling 2017 for admission to 92 participating institutes of JEE Main 2017. The counselling will be held in several rounds for allocation of seats in NITs, IITs, IIITs and GFTIs. The top 20 percentile or 75 percentage marks in class 12 has been taken into consideration while preparing all India rank based on JEE Main result. According to officials, candidates must obtain 75% in their Class XII or in the top 20 percentile of their board. While for SC/ST candidates must have 65% in class 12 as their pass percentage.
