JEE Main Result 2017 and AIR to be declared on or before April 27

Result of JEE MainJEE Main 2017 result to be announced on or before April 27 by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The result of JEE Main 2017 of paper 1 will be declared for the candidates who have appeared in the national level engineering entrance examination on April 2, 8 and 9. To check result and download JEE Main 2017 AIR (All India Rank) candidates have to provide their roll number and date of birth in the result window. The CBSE will declare JEE Main result in online mode only therefore candidates can to check and download JEE result through this mode.

The JEE Main result 2017 will show the All India rank of candidates and qualified for appearing in JEE Advanced 2017. Based on the result examination authority will derive JEE Main 2017 AIR which will be the basis for admission to around 24000 seats in B. Tech/B.E. programmes 31 NITs, 20 IIITs and 18 GFTIs. Also, JEE (Main) Paper 1 result will be the basis for selection of top 2, 20,000 candidates for JEE Advanced 2017 schedule to be held on May 21.

As per the CBSE official notification, from this year onwards the marks of class 12 will not be considered while determining All India rank of candidates. “There shall be no weightage for the 12 class marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE Main examination but for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs candidates must secure at least 75% marks or be in the top 20 percentile in the class 12 examination,” said CBSE officials.

  3. JEE Main result appeared on the screen
  4. JEE Main result shows marks obtained, All India rank, and eligible to appear in JEE Advanced
  5. Check the score and download JEE Rank card

JEE Main is one of the most coveted undergraduate engineering entrance exams of India conducted for admission to B.Tech/B.E. programmes offered at prestigious institutes like IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs of India. As per CBSE officials, a total 11, 98,989 candidates have registered for JEE Main 2017. Among the total registered candidates, 8, 62,526 are male candidates, while 3, 36,460 are female and 3 are transgenders.
