JEE Main Result Analysis 2017 - CBSE has released some interesting data on JEE Main 2017 results, which were announced on April 27. The exam was conducted in both offline and online mode. The data released by CBSE clearly shows the students’ preference for offline mode. Out of the total of 11.86 candidates who registered for the exam, majority of them took exam in pen and paper mode. While a total of 9.56 lakh candidates opted for offline exam, 1.65 lakh candidates chose the online medium.
A total of 11.21 candidates appeared for JEE Main exam in 2017. Of these 8.17 were boys and 3.04 lakh were girls. This year, three transgenders also appeared for the exam. However, none of them was able to qualify. The number of successful boys in JEE Main exam is far greater than the number of girls. A total of 2.20 lakh candidates have qualified for JEE Advanced 2017 exam which is scheduled to be held on May 21. Among these, 79.2% are boys and 20.8% are girls. JEE Main Cutoff 2017 – Cut off score goes down by 19 marks for General category
Keeping up with the past three years’ trend, the cutoff for JEE Main 2017 has gone down. However, this year, the cutoff has seen a sharp decline for all category candidates. For General Category, JEE Main 2017 cutoff stands at 81, which is 19 marks lower than last year’s cutoff. Find complete information on JEE Main 2017 cutoff score in the below table.
This year, JEE Main exam has been topped by Kalpit Veerwal. A resident of Udaipur, Kalpit has made history by becoming the first candidate to score 100% in JEE Main. He scored 360 out of 360. JEE Advanced 2017: The top 2,20,000 candidates have been selected for appearing in pen and paper based JEE Advanced 2017 scheduled to be held on May 21 for admission to around 11000 B.Tech seats in 23 IITs. The application process of JEE advanced begins on April 28 and last date to fill the application form is May 2.
