JEE Mains Result 2017 - The result of JEE Mains 2017 has been declared on April 27 by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in online mode. The JEE Mains result has been released for all candidates who have appeared in JEE Main 2017 on April 2, 8 and 9. To download the result of JEE Mains 2017, candidates have to enter their roll number and date of birth. The result displays the subject wise and the total score of JEE Main, candidate’s name, date of birth, state code of eligibility etc. It also shows the all India rank and category wise rank of candidates as per the JEE Mains 2017 score secured in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The qualifying status of candidates to appear in JEE Advanced for admission into 23 IITs and ISM is also mentioned in JEE Mains result. This year, as per CBSE official notification, class 12 marks is not taken into consideration while determining All India rank of candidates. However, candidates must secure at least 75% marks or be in the top 20 percentile in class 12 examination for admission in 32 NITs, 20 IIITs and 18 GFTIs. The All India Rank has been prepared by the JEE Apex Body (JAB) for all the candidates who have appeared in JEE Main Paper I on April 02, 08 & 09, 2017. The All India Rank of JEE Main has been published along with the result. The JEE Main AIR 2017 includes category wise rank and All India Rank of the candidates. The AIR of Paper 2 will be declared on May 27, 2017. On the basis of the rank, candidates will be granted admission to the NITs, IITs, IIEST, GFTIs, and other participating institutes.
The rank list of JEE Main 2017 is available online for all candidates who have appeared in the entrance examination. To check the rank, candidates have to enter their JEE Main roll number and date of birth onthe login page. The rank list provides marks in each subject, overall score, category wise and All India Rank secured by the candidates. The eligibility status of candidates for JEE Advanced 2017 is also mentioned in the rank list. JEE Main 2017 rank list is the basis for admission into NITs, IIITs, IIEST, GFTIs and other participating Institutes. which will be conducted by JoSAA. Based on rank list of JEE Main, the top 2,20,000 candidates will be shortlisted for JEE Advanced through which 23 IITs and ISM that will offer around 11000 seats.
The JEE Main cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to secure in order to qualify the examination. The cutoff of JEE Mains 2017 is published along with result of JEE Mains 2017. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has been given the authority to regulate JEE Main 2017 counselling. There will be around 6 rounds of counselling. Through the counselling, JEE Main qualifiers will be allocated seats on the basis of their ranks in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Along with qualifying JEE Main 2017 candidates also have to fulfil the eligibility norms defined for admission. Candidates have to obtain 75% in their Class 12 (65% for SC/ST candidates) or be in the top 20 percentile of their board.
