JKCET Eligibility Criteria 2018JKCET Eligibility Criteria 2018 - The eligibility criteria of JKCET 2018 is defined by the J & K Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) for candidates seeking admission in its 6 participating institutes. JKCET eligibility criteria 2018 provide details about minimum requirements related to academic qualification and domicile that aspirants need to fulfill for admission. Every aspirant who wishes to appear in JKCET 2018 must check the eligibility criteria of JKCET 2018 before filling the application form. If any candidate is found to be ineligible at a later stage, he/she will be disqualified from the admission process. JKBOPEE is likely to conduct JKCET 2018 in pen and paper based mode on April 22. Based on the merit list, candidates will be granted admission and fill around 2103 B.Tech seats provided they fulfill JKCET eligibility criteria. JKCET Eligibility Criteria 2018

Aspirants must be well acquainted about the norms defined by the Board before filling up the application form. The following are the requirements that students need to meet for admission through JKCET 2018:

Domicile: Candidates must be a permanent resident of the state of Jammu & Kashmir.

Academic Qualification: Candidates have to satisfy the following academic requirements stated below:

  • Candidates must have passed class XII or any equivalent examination from a recognised Board/University.
  • Students must have passed the qualifying examination with English, Chemistry, Mathematics and Chemistry as their core subjects.
  • In the qualifying examination, students belonging to the Open Merit Category must obtain minimum 50% in the PCM taken together. While the minimum qualifying percentage for reserved category candidates is 40%.
  • Candidates appearing/appeared in Class XII or any equivalent examination can also apply for the entrance test. However, the above-mentioned requirements must be fulfilled by the candidates. They have to produce their original mark sheet at the time of counselling.
  • Students applying under TFW category are considered as open merit candidates. They must fulfill JKCET eligibility criteria 2018 meant for open merit candidates.

JKCET 2018 Eligibility Criteria- Reservation of seats

In the Government run colleges and institutions in the state of Jammu & Kashmir, a certain number of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to specific categories as notified by the State Government. The reservation is subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria of JKCET 2018. Check the percentage of seats allotted to each category given below in the table:

JKCET Application Form 2018

After going through JKCET eligibility criteria 2018 candidates who are eligible to apply for the entrance test can fill the application form. JKBOPEE is likely to release JKCET application form on February 1, 2018. The entire JKCET application procedure will be carried out online. The application fee is Rs. 800 and candidates can pay it through debit card/ credit card or net banking. Candidates must ensure to fill and submit the application form within the given time period.

About JKCET 2018

JKCET is a pen and paper based test conducted by JKBOPEE for admission in various first-year undergraduate engineering courses offered by its 6 participating institutes. JKCET 2018 will be held in the cities of Srinagar and Jammu only. J&K BOPEE CET question paper will have 180 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates qualifying in the entrance test will be called for the counselling and seat allotment process. However, allotment of seats in the participating institutes is subject to the fulfillment of JKCET eligibility criteria 2018.
