JKCET 2018 - The Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) will conduct Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) for admission to various undergraduate engineering courses offered by institutes in the state. JKCET 2018 will be held in pen and paper based test mode on April 22. JKCET application form will be available online from February 1 to 28, 2018. Before applying for the entrance test candidates must ensure that they fulfill JKCET eligibility criteria defined by BOPEE for admission. The admit card of JKCET 2018 to all the registered candidates tentatively in the first week of April. JKCET 2018 will be held in the cities of Jammu and Srinagar only. In JKCET 2018, candidates have to attempt multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Through JKCET 2018, 6 engineering institutes in the state of Jammu & Kashmir will fill approximately 2103 seats. In 2017, 11163 candidates registered against which 8866 candidates appeared in JKCET. The Important Dates of JKCET list the dates of events conducted by the board for the entrance test and admission process. The dates provided below are based on last year's notification. JKCET important dates for the upcoming academic session will be updated as soon as it is announced by the Board.

The eligibility criteria of JKCET are the norms that candidates need to satisfy for appearing in the entrance test. JKCET eligibility criteria 2018 are as follow:
|Domicile||Candidates must be permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir|
|Academic Qualification||Candidates must pass Class 12 or an equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (40% in case of reserved categories) with English, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
Candidates appearing in Class XII in 2018 can also apply for JKCET 2018.
The application form of JKCET can be filled and submitted only through the online mode. Applicants are also required to pay JKCET application fee of Rs. 800 through debit card/ credit card or net banking. Before filling JKCET application form candidates must ensure that they have all the details and scanned images of necessary documents ready. To successfully apply for JKCET candidates have to complete the steps given below:

JKBOPEE will conduct JKCET in the cities of Srinagar and Jammu only. JKCET exam centre allotted to candidates will be mentioned on the admit card. Request for change in the allotted JKCET test centre will not be entertained under any circumstances.
The Admit Cards of JKCET 2018 will be issued online by JKBOPEE. Applicants have to log in through their application number and date of birth to download JKCET admit card. On the space provided in printed JKCET admit card candidates have to paste their attested photo. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without JKCET admit card 2018.
Aspirants can check the format of the entrance test defined by the BOPEE. JKCET exam pattern includes exam duration, question type, marking scheme etc.

JKCET 2018 syllabus is prescribed by BOPEE and it comprises topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. All questions asked in the entrance test will be based on the syllabus of JKCET. Candidates preparing for JKCET 2018 must ensure to cover all the topics given in the syllabus to score good marks in the entrance test.
The Sample Papers of JKCET 2018 are designed to make candidates familiar with the type of questions they might be asked in the test. After covering the entire syllabus, candidates must practice sample papers for a more effective preparation. Regular solving of sample papers will improve the accuracy and speed level of the candidates. While practicing sample papers, candidates must keep track of the time they are devoting to each question. It will help candidates to improve their time management skill. Aspirants must ensure to download JKCET 2018 Sample Papers to prepare more effectively for the entrance exam.
The Answer Key of JKCET 2018 will be displayed online after the conclusion of the entrance test. The answer key will be available online only for three days. Candidates who are not satisfied with any of the answer provided in the answer key can make written representation supported by documentary proof of standard text Books in the prescribed format. Candidates have to pay Rs. 1000 at POS terminal at J&K BOPEE Srinagar/ Jammu. The payment receipt must be sent along with the complaint letter. The answer key will be re-examined by the BOPEE and the revised JKCET answer key will be uploaded online.
The result of JKCET will be released online by BOPEE for all candidates appearing in the entrance test. To check JKCET 2018 result candidates have to log in with their roll number. The result will consist the marks secured by candidates in JCKET 2018 along with their ranks. Candidates must ensure to take a print out of JKCET result and keep it safe for future reference. The result of JKCET will also be available in both the offices of BOPEE at Jammu and Srinagar.
After the declaration of the result, a merit list will be prepared of all the candidates qualifying JKCET 2018. JKCET merit list will be published online in pdf file format. JKCET merit list will display candidates name, roll number, total score and their overall rank.
The counselling of JKCET 2018 for eligible candidates will begin few days after the declaration of result. To participate in the counselling of JKCET candidates have to submit their choices/ preferences for courses and colleges online and make a payment of Rs. 500 at the POS terminal at BOPEE office Srinagar/Jammu. Candidates must be present in person for J&K BOPEE counselling. At the time of JKCET counselling 2018 candidates have to submit Online Application Form and the original attested photo copies of Permanent Resident Certificate, Marks Certificate with other certificates.
