The University reserves seats in each course for candidates belong to Muslim minority, Internal Jamia students, Kashmiri Migrants, Foreign candidates etc. Candidates seeking admission through JMI EEE 2017 may check the reservation for each category given below:
The University provides the following reservations in each programme for Muslim candidates:
Note: The reservation for Muslim OBC candidates is only applicable for candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer. To get this benefit, candidates have to submit an OBC certificate issued by the competent authority.
Person with Disabilities
The University reserves 3% of the total number of seats in each program for the following PWD candidates suffering from a minimum 40% disability as certified by a competent medical authority:
Note: Candidates belonging to this category will be given a maximum relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination.
Internal (Jamia) Students
For Internal students of Jamia who have qualified their Class X or XII from Jamia Schools as regular students, 5% seats are reserved.
One seat is reserved for candidates falling under this category. The seat in the programmes is offered by the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Faculty of Architecture. Candidates have to submit a certificate in support of their claim of being Kashmiri migrants obtained from the registered Divisional Commissioner, of their respective State/Union Territory. They don’t have to submit domicile certificate.
Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir
In programmes offered by the Faculty of Engineering & Technology and Faculty of Architecture, one seat is reserved for candidates under this category. To avail this benefit, candidates have to submit a state- domicile certificate in support of their claim of being a citizen of Jammu & Kashmir.
10% of the regular seats are reserved for students belonging to foreign countries. They have to apply as Regular candidates under General category. They may also apply against supernumerary seats. Admission of students under this category is subject to the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria laid down for each program and their rank in the merit list of the entrance test.
