KCET Application Form 2018KCET Application Form 2018 – Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has made the correction window of KCET application form 2018 available on March 27. Candidates who have successfully applied for KCET 2018 can edit the options they had entered earlier on the online application form till March 31. The online application form of KCET 2018 was open till March 22. The last date of submission of the application form was extended till March 22 from February 22. In case candidates had made any mistake while filling up the online application form, they can use the correction window of KCET 2018 to modify details on the form. The correction window can be used in six simple steps such as clicking on the correction window link provided on this page, clicking on edit application form button, changing/modifying the earlier entered information, verifying the newly entered details, clicking on the submit button and finally taking a printout of the edited application form. The fee of KCET 2018 application form was Rs. 650 for general and OBC applicants and Rs. 500 for SC/ST applicants. KCET Application Form 2018 – Correction window

Candidates who have successfully completed the online application process will be eligible to edit options entered in the form. KEA made the correction window available on March 27, 2018 at 6.00 p.m. and the same will be available till March 31. Applicants can check the following steps to know the process of editing the options entered on the application form of KCET 2018:

Step 1: Candidates need to click on the link given on this page.

Step 2: Using the link, students can navigate to the login page where they have to click on “Editing online application CET-2018”.

Step 3: In this step, applicants have to click on “Payment Status Tab” and then click on the button that says “Click here to Edit Application”.

Step 4: KCET correction window 2018 will be displayed on the screen and candidates can edit/modify the details that they had earlier entered while filling online KCET online application form.

Step 5: Once the changes have been made, applicants have to click on “Declare Button” and click on the “Submit” button to confirm the modifications on the KCET application form.

Step 6: In the final step, candidates have to take a printout of the edited application form.


KCET Application Form 2018- Documents Required

Candidates must keep the following particulars ready before filling the online application form of KCET 2018:

  • A valid email ID and mobile number
  • Scanned copy of recent passport sized photograph
  • Scanned copies of signature and left-hand thumb impression of the candidate.

How to fill KCET 2018 application form?

The application form of KCET 2018 was available online in two phases. Before filling the form, candidates had to verify that they fulfil the eligibility criteria of KCET 2018. Sample application form of KCET 2018 was made available by KEA so that candidates could avoid mistakes while filling KCET 2018 application form. It could be downloaded and practised before filling the actual application online. The following steps had to be followed to successfully fill and submit the application

KCET Application Form 2018 - Phase I

In the first phase, candidates could edit details in application any number of times. The first phase involved the following steps:

Step 1: KCET 2018 Registration

Candidates had to enter the following information to register for KCET:

  • Whether the student is a citizen of India? (Only Indian nationals can apply for KCET 2018)

  • Whether appeared for Karnataka 2nd PUC annual examination 2018 (Science)?

  • If yes, enter 13 digit ‘student number’ assigned by PUE department.

  • Enter the following details in KCET application form 2018: Candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, date of birth, mobile number, e-mail ID, user-ID, password, re-enter, secret question, answer, security code, re-enter security code.

  • Tick ‘I have downloaded the information booklet and I have read the instructions carefully’ to enter application online.

  • Click on ‘submit’ button.

  • The application number and user ID will be displayed on the screen. It will also be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID.

  • On the login page, enter user ID, password, security code and click on ‘login’ button.

Step 2: Filling online KCET application form 2018

Candidate’s name, mother’s name, father’s name, date of birth, Gender, mobile number and the email ID were already mentioned in the application form.  Candidates had to enter their choices of KCET exam centres 2018 in this step. Applicants had to enter the following details in the online application form of KCET 2018:

Student information
Mother tongue (as per school/ college record), family’s annual income, religion, nationality, reservation category, of caste, caste category/ income certificate number, select eligibility clause code, select location to write KCET.
Examination details
University/ board name, school name, whether appearing for Karnataka 2nd PUC annual examination 2018 (Science)?, PUC student number or year of graduation, whether studied in area of Karnataka from class 1- 10, whether studied in Kannada medium from class 1- 10.
Address for communication
Address, district, pin code, whether studied class 10 in Karnataka, state in which appeared QE, district in which appeared QE, native state, whether ward of J&K migrant, reservation for claiming special category, whether eligible to claim reservation quota under agriculturist, select agriculture practical exam centre
Details of appearing previous CET exams
Whether appeared for previous CET exam, CET number, whether obtained any seat in CET and taken admission to college. Click on ‘save and next’ button.
Study details
Enter following study details from class 1-12/ QE and address of school/ college with number, classes studied, years of study, year of passing.Click on ‘save and next’ button.

Step 3: Uploading images in KCET application form 2018

In this step, applicants had to upload scanned images of their passport sized photograph (coloured), signature, thumb impression and signature of parents. The specifications of images required to be uploaded in KCET application form are given below:

After completing above mentioned steps, applicants had to take a printout and carefully verify the entries. They were able to make changes in KCET 2018 application form, if required, before moving on to phase II.

KCET Application Form 2018 - Phase II

In phase II, details could be edited only until the signing of the declaration, after which, no changes in KCET 2018 application form were entertained. Candidates received the application ID and password via mail and SMS. Phase II of filling KCET registration form 2018 included the following steps:

Step 1: Uploading images in KCET application form 2018

In this step, candidates had to upload scanned images of passport sized coloured photograph, signature, thumb impression and signature of parents once again. The specifications remained the same as the ones mentioned in step 3 of phase II.

Step 2: Signing the declaration in KCET application form 2018

After the scanned images were successfully uploaded, the declaration page appeared. One were necessarily needed to review the form and read and understand the declaration carefully before finally signing it as no changes in KCET 2018 application form were be allowed thereafter. Candidates will be disqualified from the admission process if any detail furnished in KCET application form is found to be false at any later stage.

Step 3: Payment of KCET 2018 application fee

After successfully submitting the online application form of KCET 2018, applicants had to pay the required fee through e-challan to complete the application process. Candidates had to tick on ‘I agree’ and click on ‘next’ to make the fee payment. The application fee could be paid online via net banking till the last date of form submission. However, offline fee via bank challan or e-post office could be paid past the last date as well. The following steps were involved in payment-

  • Download and take a printout of the triplicate e-challan copy to make the payment.

  • Name of the candidate, CET number, college/course allotted details, payment amount and bank account number will be mentioned in the challan.

  • Make payment to the banks specified.

  • After payment, the bank will retain their copy and hand over the remaining two copies back to the candidate. The copies must be secured safely for future reference.

Note: List of banks specified by KEA for payment includes State Bank of India, Indian Bank and State Bank of Hyderabad.

KCET Application Form 2018- Fee structure

KCET application fee varied across different categories. Apart from the below-mentioned application fee, candidates had to pay additional bank charge of Rs. 10. Those who paid at the e-post office were charged Rs. 12 extra.  Candidates can check KCET fee structure in the table below:

Step 4: Printout of KCET application form 2018

After making payment, candidates had to take a printout of KCET 2018 application form in A-4 size paper and affix their recent passport sized photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression on the provided space. Students had to obtain principal's seal and signature of the institute from which they had passed the qualifying examination. The same should be produced during verification of documents along with the copy of bank challan (KEA copy). 

Candidates who registered along with requisite fee within specified timelines and whose applications were accepted will be issued KCET admit card 2018 from April 10, 2018. Thus, applicants are advised to be careful while editing KCET 2018 application form as there will be no refund of application fee even if their applications are rejected.  

FAQs related to KCET Application Form 2018

Q. What happens if any column is left blank while filling KCET 2018 application form?

Ans. It will be rejected. Candidates must verify that every column has been filled before submitting the application. Write N.A. in any column which is not applicable.

Q. The file size of the scanned copies of my photograph and signature exceeds the specified limit. What should I do?

Ans. Candidates have to compress the file according to specified size and dimension and then upload them.

Q. Can I submit KCET 2018 application form offline?

Ans. No. the application can be filled and submitted only in the online mode.

Q. What are the documents required to fill KCET application form 2018?

Ans. To fill up KCET application form, candidates need to upload scanned copies of photograph, signature and thumb impression and parent’s signature. Candidates do not have to upload any documents. However, they have to submit their claims of reservation at the time of filling the application.
