Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) conducted KCET 2017,on May 02 for Mathematics from 2:30 pm to 3:50 pm at around 53 centres across 29 districts of the state. The second session to be conducted on May 03 for Physics from 10:30 to 11:50 am and Chemistry paper from 2:30 am to 3:50 pm at the designated exam centres. Candidates from Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga have to appear in the Kannada language test on May 04, 2017 in Bangalore only.
As per the candidates who appeared in KCET 2017 for Mathematics paper, said that the overall question paper was moderate in terms of difficulty. The questions asked in the exam were tricky and consumed time to solve the numerical problems. Candidates were given 1 hour 20 minutes to complete the question paper.
The KCET 2017 question booklet is divided into three sections – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. As per the exam pattern of KCET, the total number of questions in each section is 60. As per the marking scheme candidates will secure 1 mark for each correct answer, whereas, no marks will be deducted for wrong answers/multiple markings.
Candidates appearing in the Karnataka Combined Entrance Test (KCET 2017), will be able to download official KCET answer key expected to be released by KEA in the 2nd week of May 2017. Through the answer key of KCET, candidates can check their correct and incorrect responses marked by them in the entrance exam, calculate their expected score and analyse their performance. The final answer key will be released along with the declaration of the result.
The result of KCET to be announced online tentatively in the last week of May 2017. The Result will show the scores as well as ranks of the candidates who appeared in KCET 2017. Candidates have to enter their KCET registration number to download the result. The candidates must take a printout of the result and preserve it till the admission process.
After the declaration of the result, KEA will conduct KCET 2017 counselling in both online and offline mode. Only those candidates who will qualify the entrance test will be able to participate in the counselling. Candidate can apply online or report to the designated centres for registration.
The counselling will include document verification, filling of options by the candidates, process of seat allotment and payment of the course’s fee after the allotment. Through the counselling, eligible candidates will be offered admission to around 47 000 seats in around 220 participating institutes of KCET 2017.
