The last date for the JEE Main 2017 Application has been extended till January 16, 2017 as per the latest notification issued by CBSE. Candidates can now pay the application fees till January 17, 2017 by 11.59 pm. It may be noted that all the other guidelines, terms and conditions for the JEE Main 2017 exam and application will remain the same. This is the first year when the Aadhaar Card has been made mandatory for all the Indian applicants except for students for Jammu & Kashmir, Meghalaya and Assam who may use a Govt issued valid Photo ID to apply. The earlier date for filling the application form for JEE Main 2017 was till January 2, 2017. According to reports many students , parents, schools as well as state governments have written to CBSE asking for an extension of the dates to fill the JEE Main 2017 Application Form. Many students have asked for time on account of the Aadhaar Card. Considering all the requests, CBSE has announced that candidates can now fill the application form for JEE Main 2017 till January 16, 2017 by 11.59 pm and pay the application fess by January 17, 2017 by 11.59 pm.
How to fill the JEE Main 2017 Application Form – The JEE Main 2017 Application form is online and candidates must first register before filling it. To register, they are required to enter the Aadhaar number. Candidates who have applied for a new Aadhaar Card may enter the Aadhaar Enrolment No to register. After registering, candidates must fill the application form, upload their photograph and signature. They must pay the fees online or through Echallan and save the confirmation page for future reference.
Around 13 lakh students apply and appear for JEE Main exam every year. Candidates who qualify in the exam can apply for admissions to the NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs through JOSAA 2017. To qualify, candidates have to be conversant with the JEE Main 2017 Syllabus, exam pattern and follow the preparation tips given by experts.
