MHT CET Exam Pattern 2018MHT CET Exam Pattern 2018: The exam pattern of MHT CET 2018 has been prescribed by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra. MHT CET exam pattern 2018 consists details about the various aspects of the entrance examination such as total number of questions, subjects, papers, marking scheme, total marks, duration etc. As per the MHT CET Exam 2018Pattern candidates have to appear in two papers- Paper I consists of Mathematics and Paper II consists of Physics and Chemistry. The MHT CET 2018 will be conducted in the pen & paper based mode and duration for test is 180 minutes. The total marks for each paper of MHT CET 2018 will be 100. The marking scheme will be separate for the two papers. For every correct answer in Mathematics candidates will be awarded 2 marks while for Physics and Chemistry candidates will be given 1 mark. As per the notification on MHT CET 2018 exam pattern and syllabus, the test will have 20% weightage from class XI curriculum and 80% weightage from standard XII curriculum. DTE Maharashtra has released the exam pattern of MHT CET 2018. Candidates preparing for MHT CET 2018 must go through the MHT CET exam pattern given below.

MHT CET Exam Pattern 2018 – Important Points

Mode of Exam: MHT CET 2018 will be a pen and paper based examination.

Medium of Question Paper: The exam question paper will be in three languages - Marathi, English and Urdu. Candidates are required to choose the language according to their preference. However, the Mathematics paper will be in English language.

Total number of Papers: The entrance test consists two papers: Paper I and Paper II.

Sections: In paper I, questions will be asked from Mathematics while in paper II questions will be set from physics and chemistry.

Type of questions: Both the papers will consist of multiple choice questions. Each question will have four options out of which only one option is correct.

Total number of questions: Paper I will have 50 questions in total whereas Paper II will have 100 questions, equally divided between Physics and Chemistry.

Total number of marks: Each paper will consist 100 marks equally divided between sections from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Marking Scheme: In paper I, each correct answer will be given 2 marks. On the other hand, every correct answer in paper II will be awarded 1 mark. There will be no negative marking for incorrect or unanswered questions.

Duration: For each paper, candidates will be given a total duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes. They have to complete the entire paper within 3 hours.

MHT CET syllabus 2018

The syllabus of MHT CET 2018 will consist questions from class XI and XII. There will be approximately 20% weightage from class XI and 80% weightage from class XII syllabus. The questions in the entrance test will be set on the basis of complete syllabus of standard XII while there will be few topics from the syllabus of class XI as prescribed by the authority. About MHT CET 2018

DTE Maharashtra conducts MHT CET, a state level examination for admission to undergraduate engineering courses offered by around 360 engineering institutes of Maharashtra. To appear in MHT CET 2018 candidates will have to fill and submit the online application form of MHT CET within the given time period. MHT CET 2018 will be a pen and paper based test to be held on May 2018 in around 46 districts in Maharashtra. Based on candidates’ performance in MHT CET the participating institutes will fill B.E/B.Tech seats for the academic session 2018-19. In 2017, around 3,76,282 lakh students appeared for MHT CET.
