Today, 10 April , and tomorrow, 11 April, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2015 will be conducted in online or computer based mode. Aspirants of only Paper-1, for B.E and B.Tech, will take the exam. It will be held in 283 cities through the country and abroad. However, in few countries like Kathmandu, Muscat, Bahrain, Singapore etc., it will be held on 11 April, only.
The examination will start sharp at 9:30 a.m. and will conclude on 12:30 p.m. All the candidates must reach the exam hall an hour before the examination. After 9:30 a.m. entry inside the exam hall will be restricted.
In the paper, there will be 90 questions of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. All the questions will be of Multiple Choice Type and candidates must attempt all. The questions will cover the syllabus of CBSE Class XI and XII. One mark will be allocated to candidates, for marking correct answers. However, for marking incorrect answers, negative marking of 1/4 mark will be done.
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted offline examination on 4 April 2015. Total 13.5 lac candidates registered for the exam. Out of these, 10 lac candidates opted for offline mode and rest will take the examination today and tomorrow. The official answer key and OMR will be released from 18 till 22 April 2015. Candidates can challenge it by submitting Rs. 1000 (per question), along a request letter to do so. The result will be announced on 27 April and the All India Rank will be disclosed on 7 July 2015.
