UCEED 2018: IIT Bombay conducted UCEED 2018 for admission into Bachelor of Design (B.Des) at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIITDM Jabalpur. The result of UCEED 2018 has been declared on February 21, 2018. Qualified candidates can download their scorecards. Counselling will be held in three rounds. Registration for admission to B.Des programme begins on June 8. The seat allotment rounds of UCEED 2018 to start from July 2 onwards. UCEED 2018, a computer-based examination, was held at various exam centres in 20 cities of the country. The duration of the test was 3 hours. Registration for counselling process will begin from June 8 and the last date to register is June 23, 2018. UCEED application form 2018 was available online from October 9 to November 12, 2017. As per UCEED eligibility criteria, students who have passed class 12 or are appearing for the same in 2018 from any stream namely; Science, Commerce and Humanities/Arts were eligible to appear for the test. The result of UCEED 2018 has been declared online on February 21. Candidates can check their result by entering user ID and password. However, only the qualified candidates will be able to download their UCEED 2018 scorecard which will be available along with the result.
The cutoff of UCEED is the minimum qualifying marks required to qualify the examination. Only those candidates who will obtain the sectional and overall cutoff marks prescribed by UCEED committee will be included in UCEED rank list based on which the admission will be conducted. The category wise UCEED cutoff is provided in the table given below:

On the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination, UCEED rank list 2018 will be prepared. There will be only one rank list and no separate category wise rank list will be published. In case, the examination is conducted in two different sessions, the normalised total marks will be taken into account to prepare the rank list of UCEED. In case, the total marks scored by two or more candidates are similar, ranks will be allotted after applying the tie-breaking policy.
Every year, candidates qualifying in UCEED are offered admission into Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IITDM Jabalpur. In addition to the three institutes, for the academic session 2017-18, the following two institutes for the very first time offered admission based on UCEED score:
The counselling and seat allotment of UCEED will be conducted in three rounds. To participate in the counselling process, candidates have to register for admission which will start from June 8 to 23, 2018. Candidates will be allotted seats based on their rank, category, choice preference and availability of seats. Students shortlisted for admission will be sent provisional allotment letter to the registered email ID. Candidates who have been offered seats have to pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs. 60,000 within the given period of time.
The seat matrix of UCEED for the academic session 2018-19 has not been announced yet. Last year, through UCEED, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIITDM Jabalpur filled a total number of 105 B.Des seats. The question paper of UCEED 2018 for Part A was released online. The final answer key of UCEED 2018 will be published on February 8. The draft answer key of UCEED was released on January 25, 2018. UCEED answer key will contain correct answers to all the questions asked in the examination. With the help of UCEED draft answer key candidates can compare their answers and calculate the probable score. In case of any discrepancy in the answer key, candidates have to address it to email@example.com. within the given time period. Candidates have to justify their objection by commenting on the answer key in the subject of the mail. The final decision regarding the final UCEED answer key will be taken by the committee after scrutinizing the challenges raised by candidates.
Candidates whose applications had been accepted by IIT Bombay were able to download UCEED 2018 admit card. The admit card of UCEED 2018 was available online from January 1, 2018. Candidates had to carry the printed copy of admit card to the examination centre on the exam day. In case of any discrepancy or unavailability of UCEED admit card, candidates must contact the Chairperson of IIT Bombay through email/phone before specified date.
The exam pattern of UCEED 2018 provides details about the overall structure of the test. As per UCEED exam pattern, the entrance examination was held in computer-based mode and candidates had to complete the paper within 3 hours. The total number of questions is 85 with maximum marks of 300. The question paper will be divided into the following three sections -
IIT Bombay has conducted UCEED 2018 at various examination centres in 20 cities of India. Candidates had to select three exam cities as per their preference while applying for UCEED 2018. The list of UCEED exam cities includes Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai to name a few. Candidates must be very careful while selecting the exam cities as, after the submission of the application form, request for change of the city will not be entertained under any circumstances. The UCEED exam centre allotted to candidates will be mentioned on the admit card.
Questions asked in the entrance examination will be based on the syllabus of UCEED 2018. Candidates appearing for UCEED 2018 must be well versed with the prescribed syllabus. All the three sections of the question paper will majorly comprise of questions from the following six topics:

To apply the understanding and to test the progress level, candidates must practice sample papers. By solving UCEED sample papers, candidates will be able to identify their weak areas, and as the examination is time-bound, they can improve their time management skills. Therefore, every aspirant appearing for UCEED 2018 must practice sample papers to level up their preparation and secure good marks in the exam.

Note: While taking the mock test designed by the UCEED committee, candidates are advised to ignore the 'Paper Specific Instructions' (including the number of questions, marks and negative marks) as it is from UCEED 2015 paper.
UCEED 2018 is open for Indian nationals as well as for Foreign candidates. However, it is mandatory for each and every aspirant to fulfil all the norms defined below for being eligible to appear in UCEED 2018:

In order to appear in UCEED 2018, candidates had to register online and duly submit the filled in application form within the given time period.
