UPESEAT Eligibility Criteria 2018UPESEAT Eligibility Criteria 2018 - UPESEAT 2018 eligibility are set of rules that candidates need to fulfill for appearing in the entrance test and for admission. UPESEAT eligibility criteria 2018 will provide details about age requirement, academic qualification etc. Apart from the entrance test, UPES will also offer admission based on class 12 Board merit and JEE Main 2018 merit. Only those candidates who satisfy the requirements laid down by the university will be offered admission. As per UPESEAT eligibility criteria, candidates applying for admission through the entrance test have to pass class 12 or any other equivalent examination with minimum 60%. If any candidate is found to be ineligible at any stage of the entrance test or admission procedure, his/her candidature will be cancelled. UPESEAT Eligibility Criteria 2018

Aspirants must read the eligibility criteria before registering for UPESEAT 2018. After the final submission of application form, if any candidate is found to be ineligible, it will lead to the rejection of the application. The application fee will not be refunded either. Therefore, every student must ensure to check the details of UPESEAT eligibility criteria 2018 given below:

Age limit- Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1996, are eligible to apply for admission. The Date of birth recorded in class XII certificate will be considered.

Academic qualification- The criteria defined for admission through exam pathway as well as non-exam pathway differs. Candidates have to secure the following minimum qualifying marks for admission in the university:

Exam pathway

  1. Minimum percentage- Candidates must score 60% in class X as well as in class XII or any other equivalent examination.
  2. Subject combination- Candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination in Physic, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Non-exam pathway

Board Merit

  1. Minimum percentage- Candidates must score 80% in class X as well as in class XII or any other equivalent examination.
  2. Subject combination- Candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination in Physic, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

JEE Main 2018

  1. Minimum percentage- Candidates must score 60% in class X as well as in class XII or any other equivalent examination.
  2. Subject combination- Candidates must pass class 12 or equivalent examination in Physic, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  3. JEE Main cutoff- Aspirants have to secure JEE Main cut off to be declared by the university. In 2017, the cutoff defined for admission was 70 marks.

UPESEAT Eligibility Criteria 2018- For admission

The eligibility criteria of UPESEAT laid down by the university for candidates applying for admission through the entrance test, Board merit or JEE Main merit is given below:

  1. Exam pathway- UPES Engineering aptitude test (UPESEAT) followed by Centralized Counseling.
  2. Non-exam pathway - Centralized Counseling through UPES Board Merit rank/ UPES JEE Main Merit rank.

UPESEAT Application Form 2018

Candidates who meet all the eligibility criteria of UPESEAT mentioned above can fill the application form. UPES has already released UPESEAT application form in offline as well as in online mode. Candidates have to fill and submit UPESEAT application form within the specified time period. The application fee of UPESEAT is Rs. 1850 which can be paid online, through demand draft or in cash.

About UPESEAT 2018

UPESEAT is administered by University of Petroleum and Energy Studies for admission in 29 undergraduate engineering programmes. UPESEAT 2018 is expected to be held online in the second week of May. Apart from the aptitude test, admission will also be provided to candidates based on their Board merit/JEE Main 2018 merit.
