UPSEE 2017 Exam Pattern

The details of the test format of UPSEE 2017 are given below

Question Papers for different B.Tech Course

The candidates will have to opt for papers and subjects for appearing in the entrance examination. The name of the course along with their respective paper number is given below:

B.Tech. (Bio Technology) Paper 2
B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering) only Paper 3

Medium of Question Paper: The questions will be in Hindi and English both. However, in case of any ambiguity, the English version will be considered final.

Mode of Examination: UPSEE 2017 is a pen and paper based examination.

Subject Combination: The questions of Paper 1 and Paper 2 will bear questions from the following three subjects:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics/ Biology

The questions in Paper 3 will have the following sections:

  • AG-I
  • AG-II
  • AG-III

Type of Questions: The question paper will contain objective type questions with multiple responses. Candidates have to attempt Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Total No. of Questions: In total, there will be 150 questions. The questions will be distributed among the three different sections. The weightage of questions will be equal in each section. The distribution of questions is provided in the table given below:

Total Marks: The maximum marks in each of the B.Tech paper is 600.

Marking Scheme- Every correct response will carry four marks. Out of the responses given in each question, only one option will be correct. No marks will be awarded for the incorrect answer. There will be no negative marking either.

Duration: Candidates will be given a time limit of 3 hours to complete the question paper.

Important Instruction on UPSEE 2017 Exam Pattern

  • UPSEE 2017 will be evaluated by OMR methodology. All the objective type questions must be answered on a specially designed OMR answer sheet.
  • Candidates must select only one option out of the multiple choices provided in each question.
  • Answers must be marked using either blue or black pen only.
  • Even though there will be no negative marking, a record of incorrect answers entered by the candidates will be kept separately.
