ASRB NET Cutoff 2017ASRB NET Cutoff 2017: The candidates appearing for Agricultural Research Service (ARS) and National Eligibility Test (NET) must obtain the cutoff score i.e the minimum qualifying marks fixed by the exam conducting body, Agricultural Scientists and Recruitment Board (ASRB). The ASRB NET cutoff & ARS Prelims cutoff score has been announced by the examination authority. The ASRB NET cutoff 2017 varies as per the category of the candidates. Only the candidates who have scored the provided qualifying marks in the ARS Prelims exam has been shortlisted for the mains exam of ARS NET 2017.  And based on  ASRB NET I cutoff, candidates have been declared eligible for  and  applying to the post of Lecturers or Assistant Professors in the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs)/Agricultural Universities (Aus). The ASRB NET cutoff 2017 for ARS (Prelims) exam is 67.5 (45%) for unreserved category candidates. The cutoff for NET (I) or minimum qualifying marks for Gen category is 75.0 (50%). The prelims exam of ARS and NET (I) will be conducted from May 16 to 21, 2017 in online mode. The mains exam of ARS is scheduled to held on July 8, 2017. ARS Cutoff 2017 (Prelims and Mains)

The ARS 2017 exam has been conducted in three phases – Prelims, Mains and Interview. The candidates who have secured the minimum qualifying marks as their ASRB NET cutoff has been selected for the ARS (Mains) mains exam. The board reserves the right to fix or alter the qualifying marks at its decretion. The prelims exam of ARS shall have one paper of 150 marks. ASRB will adopt equi-percentile to calculate score of the prelims exam and to decide the number of qualified candidates for each disciplines as per category. The cutoff of ARS 2017 of prelims exam will depend on the marks secured by the last qualified candidates. Separate ASRB ARS cutoff 2017 will be decided for the mains exam.

NET (I) 2017

The NET (I) exam has been conducted for 150 marks comprising of one paper in relevant discipline. ASRB has decided the NET (I) cutoff 2017 to determine the eligibility for Lecturers/Assistant Professors.

Keypoints of ASRB NET cutoff 2017

Some of the important highlights of ASRB NET cutoff is provided below.

  • The marks secured by the last qualified candidates in ARS Prelims under each category and discipline will be the cutoff.
  • Candidates in the ratio 1:15 will be selected for the mains exam from among those who have qualified the prelims exam.
  • Candidates for viva voce will be shortlisted in the ratio 1:5 for each category.
  • Candidates who has secured the minimum qualifying marks but their score is less than the shortlisted candidates will not be selected further for the recruitment process.

ASRB NET 2017 Result

The result of ASRB NET will be declared in online mode. The result of ARS (Prelims) and NET (I) will be declared in June 2017. Candidates qualifying the prelims exam will appear in the mains exam. Subsequently, those qualifying the mains will be called for viva-voce. The result of mains exam will be declared in August 2017. However, candidates passing NET exam are eligible for applying in various SAUs/Aus. NET certificates will be issued to all the qualified candidates. Candidates based on their performance in mains exam and viva voce will be selected for appointment to the post of scientists.
