CBSE NET 2017: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the result of NET november exam on January 2, 2018. The result of CBSE NET 2017 has been declared online and candidates have been declared qualified in the exam on the basis of securing qualifying marks. The CBSE NET exam was conducted on November 19, 2017 in offline mode across 90 exam cities and in 84 subjects. The aim of the object is to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of assistant lecturers and professors. The exam comrpised of three papers – Paper I, II & III. Candidates need to qualify in all the three papers by securing minimum qualifying marks. UGC has revised the qualifying criteria of CBSE NET. Candidates securing the minimum qualifying marks will be declared as NET qualified and top 6% of the qualified candidates will be shortlisted for final appointment. The eligibility criteria of CBSE NET enlists the eligibility requirements in terms of age and academic qualification for NET exam. The CBSE NET eligibility criteria 2017 has been defined by exam conducting body, CBSE. Only those candidates who will meet the eligibility criteria of CBSE NET will be considered for the recruitment process. As per CBSE NET eligibility criteria 2017, candidates must be a post graduate in any discipline with at least 55 % marks. There is no age limit for Assistant Professor. Candidates applying for Junior Research Fellowship should be 28 years.
The application form of CBSE NET has been released on August 12, 2017. The last date to apply for CBSE NET is September 11. Candidates should fill the CBSE NET application form online since applications through any other mode will not be accepted by the examination authority. The application fees for CBSE NET is Rs 600 for General category, OBC is Rs 300 and Rs 150 for SC/ST/PwD. The application fees can be paid credit/ debit card or through e-challan. CBSE NET 2017 exam will be conducted across 90 cities and towns throughout the country. The list of exam cities will be released by CBSE along with the notification. The candidates in the application form will be given an option to choose four cities of their choice for UGC NET examination. Candidates will be allotted exam cities as per their choice. However, the board reserves the allot exam centres other than the one selected by candidates.
The admit card of CBSE NET has been issued on October 17, 2017 in online mode. Candidates can download their admit card through their application number and password The CBSE NET admit card 2017 has been issued for those candidates whose applications will be accepted by exam conducting body. Candidates will have to enter their application number and date of birth to download CBSE NET hall ticket. The admit card is available for download till the day of exam.
The exam pattern of CBSE NET provide details about number of papers, mode of exam, marking scheme, total number of questions, minimum qualifying marks etc. CBSE NET 2017 will be conducted in pen and paper mode 84 subjects. The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions. The Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. There will be total 60 multiple choice questions of 2 marks each, out of which candidate need to answer any 50 questions. Paper-II shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate and each question will carry 2 marks. The cutoff of CBSE NET is the minimum qualifying marks which the candidates must secure to qualify the exam.
