CSIR UGC NET exam heldCSIR UGC NET 2017 exam held: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has conducted the Joint CSIR UGC NET on June 18, 2017 in offline mode across 27 exam cities spread throughout the country. The final result of CSIR UGC NET 2017 Single MCQ test will be declared in the month of September/October, 2017. The official CSIR UGC NET answer key will be released in July/August 2017.

The test was held in five subjects – Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences. The exam was held in two sessions – Morning and Afternoon. The exam of Morning session was held for Life Sciences and Physical from 9.00 AM to 12.00 PM. In the afternoon session, the exam of Chemical Sciences, Earth Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences and Mathematical science was held. The test comprised of total 200 marks.

The question paper of CSIR UGC NET 2017 was divided into three parts, (A, B & C). The Part A of CSIR UGC NET question paper was common for all candidates which carried questions pertaining to General Aptitude, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles etc. The Part B comprised of questions related to candidates respective subjects. The Part C carried analytical questions.

Candidates based on CSIR UGC NET 2017 result will be selected for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and determine their eligibility for Assistant Professor. The council will release CSIR UGC NET 2017 cutoff along with the result.
