IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2017- The exam pattern of IBPS PO has been announced by the exam conducting authority, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). The IBPS PO exam comprises of online examinations (Prelims and Mains) followed by Interview. The IBPS PO exam pattern 2017 provides details about the number of sections, number of sections, total marks, time duration, marking scheme and negative marks. The Preliminary examination of IBPS PO will comprise of three sections -English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. The mains examination of IBPS PO five sections – Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (with special reference to Banking) and Computer Knowledge. All the questions of both Prelims and Mains examination will be objective type. The total marks allotted for Preliminary examination is 100 marks while the mains examination carries 200 marks. Candidates qualifying the online examination will be called for Interview. The Interview will be conducted for 100 marks. The combined final merit will be basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the mains examination and interview. IBPS will give weightage to the main exam and interview in the ratio 80:20 respectively. On completion of the interview process, depending on the number of vacancies to be filled in during financial year 2017-18 candidates will be allotted in any of the participating institutes to the post of Probationary Officer.
