IBPS PO 2017: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will conduct recruitment for around 9000 Management Trainee (MT)/Probationary Officers (PO) vacancies in 20 public sector banks of the country. The IBPS PO 2017 notification will be released in the month of July, 2017. The IBPS PO 2017 selection procedure includes three phases – preliminary, mains and interview. The preliminary examination of IBPS Probationary Officer recruitment is scheduled to be conducted on October 7, 8, 14 & 15, 2017. Candidates who will qualify the preliminary examination will appear for the mains examination. The mains exam exam will be held on November 26, 2017. Candidates shortlisted in the main examination of IBPS PO 2017 will be called for an Interview to be conducted by the participating banks and co-ordinated by nodal bank in each state/Union Territories with the help of IBPS. Candidates who aspires to join any of the participating banks under IBPS PO 2017 recruitment are required to register for the Common Recruitment Process (CWE PO/MT-VII). IBPS will recruit candidates to the post of PO/MT in 20 participating banks on the basis of candidates performance in the prelims exam, mains exam and interview. However, preliminary examination will be qualifying in nature and marks obtained in the exam will not be counted for final merit list. The weightage of mains exam and interview to shortlist candidates for provisional allotment will be 80:20.
Candidates who wish to apply for IBPS PO 2017 must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility. The eligibility criteria of IBPS will be fixed by IBPS as per age, nationality, academic qualification etc. The eligibility criteria are the basic criteria for applying for the post of PO/MT. Candidates to be eligible for the recruitment process should meet the eligibility criteria. The details of IBPS PO 2017 eligibility criteria is explained below.
The minimum age of the candidates prescribed by IBPS should be 20 years and maximum age should be 30 years i.e a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1986 and not later than 01.07.1996 (both dates inclusive). Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided as per different categories.
Graduation in any discipline is mandatory for applying to IBPS PO.
The online registration process of IBPS PO 2017 will begin in July 2017 after the release of notification. No other mode of application will be accepted. Applicants will have to pay their application fee online through debit cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), credit cards, internet banking, IMPS, cash cards/ mobile wallets. Fee for general/OBC is Rs 600 and for SC/ST/PWD is Rs 100. Before applying candidates should scan their photograph and signature, keep the necessary details ready to make online payment, must have a valid email ID. IBPS PO Exam Centres 2017
The exam centres of IBPS PO indicates the names of the exam cities along with centre code. The prelims and mains exam will be held at the centres specified by IBPS. The institute, however, reserves the right to cancel or add exam centres at its discretion. IBPS also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any centre other than the one he/she has opted for. The list of IBPS PO exam centres of prelims and mains exam will vary. No request for change in exam centres will be entertained.
IBPS will issue admit card to the candidates who will register and submit the application form successfully. The IBPS PO admit card will be made available online and no hard copy of the same will be sent to the candidates by post. Candidates can download and print their admit card by loging into their account through registration number/roll number and password/date of birth. The admit card/hall ticket of IBPS PO will be available for downloading till the last date of exam. The exam conducting body will issue separate admit cards for prelims, mains and interview. The exam pattern of IBPS PO provides details about the number of questions, number of sections, marking scheme, total marks, negative marks, time duration and normalisation of scores. The prelims and mains exam will be conducted online. Candidates will have to qualify in all the three sections of prelims exam and secure the cutoff score. The total marks allotted for the prelims exam is 100. To be shortlisted for the interview, candidates will have to obtain a minimum score in each test as well as minimum total score. The mains exam will carry 200 marks. There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the objective tests. For wrong answer, one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted to arrive at corrected score. The total marks allotted for interview is 100.

The result of IBPS Probationary Officer will be announced in three phases – Prelims, Mains and Interview. The total score of the candidates will be arrived after deducting the negative marks. Candidates to qualify each stages of recruitment process will have to secure the minimum qualifying marks fixed by the commission. Marks obtained in the main examination will only be considered for shortlisting candidates for interview and also for final merit list. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40 % for general category and 35 % for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates. The combined final score of candidates will be arrived on the basis of scores obtained in the mains examination and interview. IBPS will fix a cutoff score for each stage of recruitment process for selection of candidates. The IBPS PO cutoff score for prelims and mains exam will be applied on individual score and total score.
