IBPS SO Cut off 2018: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will declare the cut off scores or the minimum required marks which the candidates will have to secure in order to be eligible for further stages of IBPS SO. The institute will decide the IBPS SO Cut off for the preliminary exam, mains exam and personal interview. The cut off scores will be revealed along with the result of each stage. The IBPS SO 2018 cut off for all the preliminary exam will be declared in January followed by the cut off scores of mains in February. IBPS will declare the cut off for IBPS SO interview in April 2018. The scorecard of IBPS SO will display the sectional and overall IBPS SO cut off scores for each stage. All the candidates who will be able to secure the sectional and overall qualifying marks or the cut off scores will be shortlisted for the next stage of selection process.
IBPS will release two separate list of cut off i.e. for provisional allotment and reserve list. The IBPS SO 2018 Cut off (previous and expected) will be given on this page. Based on the result and cut off of IBPS SO, candidates will be provisionally selection for allotment in participating banks. The cut off or the qualifying marks of IBPS SO will be declared by IBPS for each stage of the recruitment i.e. prelims, mains, interview and at last allotment cut off scores. On the basis of cut off score and marks secured by the candidates, banks will be allotted to all the candidates as per their preference ranks in the merit list. The preliminary exam will be the first stage for all the participating candidates of IBPS SO. The cut off for the prelims of IBPS SO will be announced along with the result in January. The result of IBPS SO will be declared on the basis of cut off and only those candidates who secure the required qualifying marks will be declared qualified. Candidates will be required to secure cut off score for each subject – English Language, Quantitative Aptitude/General Awareness and Reasoning Ability. The cut off for each section will be decided out of the total marks. The preliminary exam of IBPS SO is only qualifying in nature and the marks secured by candidates in the prelims will not be considered while preparing the final merit list/result.
All the candidates who qualify the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the mains exam, which will test them on their professional knowledge. The IBPS SO Cut off for the mains exam will be declared in February, 2018. Candidates will have to secure prescribed marks as per their category and in the subject. Those who secure marks according to IBPS SO Cut off will be called for personal interview. The IBPS SO result for the mains exam will be declared on the basis of cut off scores as decided by IBPS.
The candidates who qualify the preliminary and mains exam of IBPS SO will be called for the personal interview. The IBPS SO cut off 2017 will be calculated out of 100 marks. Candidates will have to qualify the interview securing the cut off score. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% for general and OBC category candidates and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
The marks for provisional allotment in IBPS SO 2018 can be defined as the lowest marks that the test takers will have to obtain to be provisionally allotted in any one of the participating banks of IBPS SO. The IBPS SO Cut off for provisional allotment will be calculated out of 100 and after eliminating inter-SE-merit (ties) on the basis of date of birth.
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection will prepare a reserve or a backup list which will be the final waiting list to fill up the 10% vacancies reserved for each category for each post of IBPS SO in the participating banks.
If any of the participating banks release more vacancies, during April 2018-March 2019 allotment of candidates will be done from the reserve list. If none of banks release further vacancies during the validity period, the candidates in the reserve list will not be considered for provisional allotment. The reserve list will expire automatically on 31.03.2019 without any notice.
IBPS will follow a prescribed method to calculate the scores of candidates in each stage of the recruitment. IBPS will normalize the corrected scores done through equi-percentile method. Check the detailed procedure of IBPS SO score calculation as explained below.
IBPS will use the equi-percentile method to normalize the corrected scores as secured by the candidates in each stage of the exam. Scores up to two decimal points will be used for calculation. Final marks of all the candidates will be on the basis of total marks secured in the prelims/mains exam./interview.
In order to qualify at the post of SO, candidates will have to qualify all the stages of recruitment by securing the sectional and overall IBPS SO cut off. The weight age or ratio of the marks secured in the written exam and interview will be 80:20 respectively.
