NDA 1 Result 2017: Union Public Service Commission has declared the final result of NDA 1 2017 examination on November 24, 2017. The NDA 1 result has been announced online in the form of a pdf file comprising names of candidates qualified the exam. The final result of NDA 1 has been eclared on ther basis of candidate's performance in written exam and SSB Tests. As per the final result of NDA 1, 371 candidates have been selected for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of National Defence Academy for the 139th Course and Naval Academy for the 101st Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 2nd January 2018. Based on marked secured by the candidates in the written exam, they were shortlisted to appear for SSB tests omprising of Intelligence and Personality tests. The written examination of NDA consisted of two subjects- Mathematics and General Ability Test and total marks allotted to the exam was 900. The total marks of the candidates have been calculated after applying penalty for wrong answers. Based on which, NDA 1 result 2017 has been declared. The SSB test were also conducted for 900 marks. Candidates had to secure qualifying marks in SSB test to qualify the exam and to be become eligible for final selection. The written examination of UPSC NDA (I) 2017 was conducted for 900 marks. The exam comprised of two sections – Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT). Both the sections consisted of objective type questions only. UPSC has fixed a minimum qualifying marks in written examination of NDA 1 to select deserving candidates for Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview. The commission has prepared a merit list of candidates based on the minimum qualifying marks of written exam. Candidates whose roll numbers feature in the merit list will have been shortlisted for Intelligence and Personality Test held at SSB centres. UPSC will release the marksheet of candidates after the recruitment process is over.
The SSB test were conducted in the month of September/October. The total marks allotted to SSB test is 900. Candidates will have to qualify the exam securing the minimum qualifying marks. The minimum qualifying marks for SSB test will be decided by UPSC.

The commission shall prepare All India merit list on the basis of total marks secured by candidates in the written exam and SSB tests. The cutoff of NDA is the minimum qualifying marks which candidates should secure to qualify the exam and become eligible for next round of selection process. The examination authority, UPSC, shall fix NDA 1 cutoff at written stage and final stage. The NDA 1 cutoff for both the stages will be released after completion of recruitment process. The NDA cutoff of written exam will be decided out of 900 marks. Based on NDA 1 cutoff of written exam, candidates will be shortlisted for SSB tests.
