RBI Officer Grade BRBI Officer Grade B 2017: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has declared the result of RBI Officer Grade B Phase 1 exam on June 22, 2017. The exam was conducted on June 17, 2017. Based on RBI Officer Grade B result of Phase 1 exam, candidates have been selected for Phase 2 exam. The Phase 2 RBI Officer Grade B 2017 will be conducted on July 7 for the candidates shortlisted on the basis of results of Phase-I examination. This examination will be in two shifts. The RBI Officer Grade B 2017 admit card for Phase 2 will be issued in the last week of June 2017. The RBI Officer Grade B result of Phase 2 will be announced in the mid of July. Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their marks in Phase 2 exam. The exam date of interview will be announced after the declaration of Phase 2 result. The final result of RBI Officer Grade B 2017 will be declared after completion of interview process. The bank will prepare a merit list of candidates based on the marks scored in Phase 2 online exam and Interview. Candidates will be given allotment as per their ranks in the merit list. Basic Pay
Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 35,150/- p.m. in the scale of Rs. 35150-1750(9) -50900-EB-1750(2) -54400-2000(4) -62400 applicable to Officers in Grade B and they will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family allowance, and Grade Allowance as per rules in force from time to time. At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments are approximately Rs. 67,933/- (approx.).

 RBI Officer Grade B Result 2017

The Result of RBI Officer Grade B 2017 of the online phase-I exam has been declared on June 22, 2017. Candidates who had secured overall and sectional passing marks qualified the phase-I exam. The corrected scores obtained by the candidates in the phase-I exam has been  normalised using equi-percentile method. Candidates had to secure minimum marks separately for each test as well as aggregate. The minimum qualifying marks has been decided by RBI. RBI Officer Grade B Cutoff 2017

Each candidate will have to obtain the minimum cutoff in each section of the Phase 1 and Phase 2 examination. The RBI Officer Grade B Cutoff 2017 to shortlist candidates for Phase- 2 exam has been decided by RBI in relation to the number of vacancies. The RBI Officer Grade B cutoff 2017 of Phase 1  will be released soon.  The final cutoff score will be decided on the basis of Phase-II exam and interview taken together. RBI Officer Grade B Eligibility Criteria 2017

Candidates can refer to the table below for RBI Officer Grade B Eligibility Criteria 2017:

  • Nationality: Only Indian citizens, citizens of Nepal and subjects of Bhutan, persons of Indian origin are eligible to apply.
  • Age limit: Candidates age must be in between 21 and 30 years.
  • Educational Qualifications : A minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree as well as in 12th and 10th standard examinations is necessary for applying to the post of RBI Officer Grade B. The minimum qualifying percentage or an equivalent grade for the Bachelor’s Degree will be in aggregate for all semesters / years.
  • Maximum Attempts: RBI has capped the number of attempts to 6 for unreserved / General Category. However, there is no such restriction for the SC/ST/OBC/PWD applicants.

RBI Officer Grade B Application Form 2017

RBI Officer Grade B Application Form 2017 concluded on May 23, 2017. Applications were accepted online only. The applications of candidates who fulfilled the eligibility conditions were accepted by the examination authority.The Application Fee for General and OBC Category candidates was Rs 850/-. However, for SC/ST/PWD category candidates the application fees was Rs Rs 100/-.

RBI Officer Grade B Exam Centres 2017

RBI conducted the Phase-I online exam in 156 exam cities spread throughout the country. However, the phase-II exam will be conducted across 10 exam cities. Candidates were allowed to select only one centre for the Phase-I and II examination in the online application. Centre and dates of Examinations are liable to be changed at the Board’s discretion. In the event of cancellation of Examinations at any centre, the Board may at its discretion allot an alternative centre to the candidates concerned. The name, address, timings of the exam will be indicated in the admission certificate of RBI Officer Grade B Phase 2.

RBI Officer Grade B Admit Card 2017

The RBI Officer Grade B Admit Card 2017 for the online exams and interview will be made available 10 to 15 days prior the commencement of examination. Candidates appearing for the RBI Officer Grade B 2017 can download their Admit Card from here. To download the Admit Card of RBI Officer Grade B 2017, candidates will have to login using Registration No and Date of Birth. No admit card will be sent to the candidates by post. 

RBI Officer Grade B Exam Pattern 2017

The exam of RBI Officer Grade B will be held in two phases – Phase- I and Phase- II followed by interview. Phase – I will be an objective type paper and phase-II will be partically objective and subjective. The Phase-I will be conducted for 200 marks. The Paper will consists tests of (i) General Awareness (ii) English Language (iii) Quantitative Aptitude and (iv) Reasoning, with composite time of 120 minutes. The Phase-II exam will be conducted for only those candidates who will qualify the Phase-II exam. Phase-II will have three papers: Economic and Social Issues (Objective Type), English (Writing Skills) (descriptive type) and Finance and Management/ Economics/ Statistics (Objective Type). The Phase-III will be conducted for 300 marks. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on aggregate of marks obtained in Phase-II (Paper-I +Paper-II +Paper-III). Final Selection will be based on the marks secured by the candidates in Phase-II and interview.

The RBI Officer Grade B Syllabus 2017 comprises the topics important for the phase-I and II examination. The syllabus of economic and social issues includes topics such as growth and development, balance of payments, economic reforms etc. The paper on english is to assess the writing skills of the candidates. RBI Officer Grade B Selection Process 2017

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Online Examinations and Interview. Candidates will have to appear for Phase-I and Phase-II examination. Candidates who qualify in these phases will be called for the Interview. Candidates will have to secure minimum marks separately in each test of the Phase-I exam and also secure aggregate marks to be decided by the Board. Qualified candidates will be eligible to appear in the Phase- II exam and secure the minimum sectional and aggregate marks in the same way as in Phase-I. Finally, interviews will be conducted for the Phase-II qualified candidates. Final selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the Phase-II (Paper-I +Paper-II +Paper-III) and Interview

      The minimum qualifying marks is 60 % in 10th, 12th and Graduation for RBI Grade B Officer 2015. While, minimum 50% in case of SC/ST/PWD category. So if you belong to Unreserved Category, U are not eligible.. !!!

    • No, you are not eligible to apply Minimum 50 percent aggregate is required throughout in 10th,12th and Graduation for the SC/ST/PWD category.

    the eligibility criteria for grade B officer is a degree with 50/60% in case of sc/st and genaral/ obc candidates respectively, it s ok, but the institution insists the same gradation in matriculation and intermidiate, why ?
