SBI POSBI PO 2018: State Bank of India conducts the recruitment for Probationary Officers every year. The recruitment of SBI PO 2018 comprises three stage selection procedure- preliminary exam, mains exam and group exercises and interview. The preliminary exam is an objective test for 100 marks and is qualifying in nature. The mains examination comprises objective test and descriptive test. The objective test carries 200 marks and descriptive test is for 50 marks. The application procedure of SBI PO will tentatively commence from February 2018. Indian citizens in the age group of 21 to 30 years can apply. The application form of SBI PO 2018 will be released online and candidates will have to apply through the same mode. Each applicant will have to pay the requisite amount of application fees according to their category while submitting the application form. Candidates whose applications are accepted will appear for the preliminary exam which will tentatively be held in April/May, 2018 and those who qualify will be eligible for the mains exam, to be held in August 2018. The group exercises and interview will be held in August 2018 for those candidates who qualify the mains exam. Approximately 3000 vacancies is expected to be filled through SBI PO recruitment. SBI PO Eligibility Criteria 2018

Nationality: Only Indian citizens can apply

Educational Qualification: Candidates should be graduate or hold and equivalent qualification in any discipline from an university recognised by the central government. Those who are in the final year/semester of their graduation can also apply.

SBI PO Application Form 2018

The application form of SBI PO is expected to be made available in February 2018. The application process of SBI PO 2018 will be online and applications submitted through any other mode will not be accepted by the commission. The application fee for last year was Rs 600 for General & OBC Category candidates and Rs 100 for SC/ST/PWD. The SBI PO 2018 application form comprises five steps – registration, uploading of scanned images of signature & photograph, filling up of basic details and submission of application form.

SBI PO Exam Pattern 2018

As per the exam pattern of previous SBI PO recruitment, candidates have to appear for a preliminary exam, followed by mains exam and group exercises and interview at last.

The preliminary examination consists of objective tests for 100 marks which is conducted online. The test is of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 sections – English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. Candidates can check the paper pattern for prelims of SBI PO below.

SBI PO Question Papers 2018

Candidates preparing for SBI PO 2018 should solve practice papers as part of their preparation. The SBI PO question papers 2018 are available in online and offline mode. Regular practice from the sample papers will help candidates to get acquainted with the exam pattern, level of difficulty, number of questions section-wise etc. It will also boost the speed level of the candidates.

SBI PO Answer Key 2018

SBI PO Cutoff 2018

SBI will decide the cutoff for every stage of SBI PO 2018 recruitment process. Candidates will have to secure marks according to the cutoff at every stage in order to be declared qualified and be eligible for the next stage of the selection procedure. SBI decides overall and sectional cutoff for both the preliminary and mains exam. Candidates who qualify prelims and mains exam by securing marks according to the cutoff will be called for group exercises and interview.

SBI PO Selection Procedure 2018

The selection procedure of SBI PO 2018 consists of 5 stages – applying for the exam, preliminary exam, mains exam, group exercises & interview and final allotment. Candidates will have to clear all the stages of SBI PO 2018 selection procedure in order to be selected for the post of probationary officers in SBI branches across the country. The final selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in mains exam as well as group exercises and interview. The preliminary exam is qualifying in nature and marks secured in this stage will not be counted for preparation of final merit list.

SBI PO 2018 – Training and Probation

Candidates selected as probationary officers will be on probation for a period of two years during which they will be given intensive training. Towards the end of their probation/training period, they will be subjected to a screening process. While those officers who achieve the predetermined standards may be confirmed and given placement in the next higher grade i.e., Officer Middle Management Grade Scale-II, others who qualify in the test but fail to achieve the standards set for placement in Middle Management Grade Scale-II, will be confirmed as Officer Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The services of those Officers who fail to qualify in this process will be terminated.
