SSC CGL 2017: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the result of Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier 1 exam on October 30, 2017. Along with SSC CGL 2017 result, the examination authority has also released the cutoff. According to official notice, 1,50,404 candidates have qualified for Tier 2 and 3 out of total 15,43,418 test takers. Out of the qualified candidates, 15,450 have been shortlisted for Tier 2 and 3 for the post Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) while 10,311 for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO). SSC CGL 2017 cutoff for all categories has decreased as compared to last year. Shortlisted candidates will appear for Tier II and III exam scheduled to be conducted from December 21 to 24, 2017. SSC CGL 2017 admit card for Tier 2 will be released 10 days before the examination. The marks of both qualified and non-qualified candidates of Tier 1 will be released in the first week of November. SSC conducts the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination to fill up vacancies in different categories of Group A, B and C posts. Candidates selected on the basis of Tier I, Tier II & Tier III exam are posted in various ministries/departments/organisations such as Assistants in Ministries/Departments, Attached and Subordinate office of the Govt. of India, Inspectors of Central Excise & Customs, Inspectors of Income Tax, Preventive Officers in Customs, Examiner in Customs, Sub-Inspectors in Central Bureau of Narcotics & CBI, Assistant Enforcement Officer in Directorate of Enforcement, Department of Revenue, Divisional Accountant, Jr. Accountant, Auditor & UDCs in various offices of Govt. of India, Auditor Offices under C&AG, CGDA, CGA & others, Accountant/ Junior Accountant, Tax Assistant in CBDT and CBEC, Compiler in Registrar General of India etc. The commission this year has released a total of 3805 vacancies under SSC CGL recruitment exam.

The application procedure of SSC CGL is over now. The SSC CGL application form 2017 was available from May 16 to June 19, 2017. Only online applications were accepted for the recruitment exam. The commission has received a total of 30, 26, 598 online applications for SSC CGL 2017 exam. Last year, the commission had received over 38 lakh applications.
The SSC CGL eligibility criteria 2017 are the set of norms in terms of age, educational qualification, nationality which the candidates will have to fulfil in order to be eligible for the recruitment exam. The SSC CGL 2017 eligibility criteria has been fixed by the exam conducting body which is SSC for different posts. The eligibility criteria of SSC CGL 2017 has been provided below.
Age Limit: The age limit varies as per the posts. The age of the candidates will be calculated as on August 1, 2017. The maximum age limit for SSC CGL exam is 32 years and minimum age limit is 18 years for general category candidates. Relaxation in the age limit will be provided to the reserved category candidates as per government rule.
Educational qualification as on August 1, 2017
a) Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute
b) Desirable Qualifications for the Post of Assistant Audit Officer: Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.
Statistical Investigator Grade–II: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% in Mathematics at 12th standard level or Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
Compiler: Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory or Elective subject.
All other Posts: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
For posts of Assistant Section Officer (CSS), Computer Proficiency Test has also been prescribed as an essential qualification.
The admit card for SSC CGL Tier II exam will be issued from last week of September 2017. Candidates appearing for the exam will be able to download their call letter till the last day of the exam. The SSC CGL 2017 admit card will be available according to the regions and the candidates will be able to download their hall ticket through their registration id/roll number and date of birth. The admit card of SSC CGL 2017 will be released online and the exam authority will not sent the hard copy of admit card by post. Candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam without admit card. Candidates qualifying for Tier 3 & 4 will be issued separate admit cards for the exam.
The online exam of SSC CGL 2017 Tier I will be conducted across 128 exam centres. Candidates while filling up their application form should indicate their choice of exam centres. No change of exam centres will be allowed, hence, the candidates should select the centres carefully and indicate the same in the application form correctly. SSC reserves the right to allot and cancel SSC CGL exam centres 2017.
The exam pattern of SSC CGL provides details related to paper pattern, number of sections, number of questions per sections, marking scheme, total marks, sectional weightage etc. SSC will conduct the SSC CGL 2017 exam in four tiers – Tier I, Tier II, Tier III & Tier IV. According to the SSC CGL paper pattern 2017, the Tier I & Tier II will be conducted in online mode while Tier III will be conducted in pen and paper mode. The Tier IV which is Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) /Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) will be held online. SSC CGL Tier III Exam Pattern 2017: The Tier III exam of SSC CGL is a descriptive test. This paper has been introduced to assess the writing skills of the candidates which is necessary in Government jobs. The paper will carry 100 marks.
SSC CGL Tier IV Exam Pattern 2017: The SSC CGL Tier IV exam is Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) /Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). This test will be qualifying in nature.

SSC has released the official answer key of SSC CGL Tier I on September 7, 2017. To download SSC CGL answer key 2017 candidates have to enter their user ID, password and select the exam date. Candidates having any doubt with regard to the answers in the official answer key of SSC CGL can submit challenges online on payment of Rs 100 for per answer.
The result of SSC CGL is announced in three phases – Tier I, Tier II and final. The SSC CGL 2017 result of Tier I has been declared on October 30, 2017. On the basis SSC CGL Tier1 result, candidate have been selected for Tier 2 and 3. The final result of SSC CGL 2017 will be declared in March/April 2017 for selecting candidates to the Group B and C posts in ministries/departments/organizations. The final result will be prepared adding the marks of the Tier I, Tier II & Tier III. Allotment of candidates to the various posts will be strictly done on the basis of merit and their preferences.
The SSC CGL cutoff score is decided by the exam conducting body, SSC to delimit candidates for further rounds of selection process. Only those candidates who have scored the SSC CGL 2017 cutoff in Tier 1 are declared qualified for Tier 2 and 3. There is no sectional cutoff in SSC CGL 2017 exam. The SSC CGL Cutoff 2017 has been fixed as per different categories taking into consideration certain factors such as difficulty level, number of candidates appeared for the test, previous year cutoff scores, number of vacancies etc. Candidates will have to secure SSC CGL 2017 cutoff score in Tier II to be eligible for appearing in Tier III and Tier IV.
